Why does everyone automatically assume 2016 is going to be Hillary or Biden?

Both are just too damn old.

You probably haven't even heard of the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate yet, just like the name "Obama" was virtually unknown in 2004.

And isn't it too farking early to even be talking about this shiat yet?

Hillary will be the same age that Reagan was when he first ran, so I'm definitely not discounting her as a candidate. I do think Biden is on the older side, though.

Well, he was already a known in January 2005. He came to the national stage at the 2004 DNC. And even then, one of the major issues he faced in his campaign against John McCain was the fact that he had spent so little time in the public eye.

There's already a Benghazi thread on the main page. (and Hillary is testifying right now)

Ugh, the Main Page is like Beirut in the 80s. More derp than the comments section of Yahoo articles sometimes.

I'll pass.

Aww, you don't want to be challenged, do you? poor thing. just stay here in the Dems cheerleader section. I think another regularly scheduled Obama bukkake session is about to begin and you wouldn't want to lose your place in the circle.

/NOT republican. ugh, just as gross as your sycophantic hero worship. Hilary's crying now, so you just know she's feeling oh so bad about those embassy workers.

How does that work? Because I think if everyone crowded around Obama and jerked off on him, that wouldn't be love or fawning, it seems it actually disrespectful because it's unlikely the POTUS would want to engage in that kind of activity. Now, more likely is that someone you perceive as being an Obamaphiliac would like to be on the receiving end of a regular bukkake session, but there's only one Barack Obama (possibly two if you think Orly Tate is right) and that's hardly enough wang for bukkake.

I see we have a refugee from the Main page who doesn't seem to know what the hell he's talking about. There are plenty of people who come in here with conservative talking points, it just so happens that in my opinion, the ones on the Main Page seem to be of a higher concentration of derp.

How is "Obama is a no-good socialist, because Fox News says so!" a challenge? It is just derp and white noise and should be ignored.

Try again.

Biden will be 74 in 2016, which would make him older than Reagan even in 1984.

I wonder if Chris Christie will have been ostracized by the GOP enough by then to switch parties Charlie Crist-style.

Chris Christie isn't a real Independent, but he has the best shot at running as an Independent and winning. I would vote for him if Hilary or Biden run. I'm not voting for any Republican for obvious reasons.

Dr.Mxyzptlk.: Is she running as an sociopaths or a psychopath ?

Probably neither. Romney ran as a sociopath against a president who's entire term was eclipsed by a giant recession and he still lost handily.

Hell, Bill Clinton was virtually unknown until he came out of nowhere and started kicking ass in the '92 primaries. Pretty much all the way up to Super Tuesday, everyone thought it was going to come down to Tsongas v Brown. And in 2008 Hilary was supposed to be the shoe-in until suddenly she wasn't.

There is a lot of time and news cycles between now and 2016, plenty of time for the current "dream candidates" (Clinton, Warren, et al.) to opt out for reasons of their own or ones beyond their control, and for someone who is completely unknown to make a name for themselves.
