The complete absence of New Jersey and Delaware makes me think this list has cred.

2013-01-23 12:10:17 AM
Holy Fark, O'Brien's in San Diego made the list. this list is legit.

2013-01-23 12:13:49 AM
The Daily Pint in Los Angeles (well, Santa Monica really) isn't just a great beer bar, it has an incredible selection of whiskeys and pretty damned good prices on a lot of them.

2013-01-23 12:21:43 AM
I live a few blocks away from one of the Chicago bars (Sheffield's), and I can testify to a few others (Map Room and Hopleaf). Good choices.

2013-01-23 12:22:36 AM
Already out of date. NE MPLS is Beervana writ large.

2013-01-23 12:23:24 AM
Agree with the ones that I've been to (Blind Tiger and Rattle N Hum in NYC, Brewer's Art and Max's Taphouse in Baltimore). Surprised that The Ginger Man in NYC isn't on there, though Rattle N Hum is within a few blocks and I guess you have to pick one or the other.

A big part of me would have loved to see my local bar Effin Gruven, the least Long Island bar on Long Island. But that's probably digging a bit deep.

2013-01-23 12:42:31 AM
Glad to see the Draught House in Austin made it to the list. Would have liked to have seen the Whip In on there too. Tex-Mex/Indian fusion brewpub inside a convenience store with 70+ taps. Aww yeah.

2013-01-23 12:54:14 AM
Bay area representing as usual in all thing best-of..

FNG [TotalFark]
2013-01-23 12:57:42 AM
This list would have failed without The Brickskeller in DC. Thankfully, it didn't.

Papago Brewery in AZ is pretty awesome, picked up some amazing mixed 6 packs from that cooler.

2013-01-23 01:04:21 AM

2013-01-23 01:05:10 AM
Glad Max's is on there.

2013-01-23 01:06:47 AM
Hay Merchant and Petrol Station for Houston?

Yep. List is legit.

2013-01-23 01:08:37 AM
15/50 for West and Midwest.

0/50 Northeast and South.

While it's low on atmosphere, Barley's Brewhouse in Overland Park, KS has one of the best beer selections of any bar I've ever been to. Glad my parents live within walking distance.

timujin: The Daily Pint in Los Angeles (well, Santa Monica really) isn't just a great beer bar, it has an incredible selection of whiskeys and pretty damned good prices on a lot of them.

I'd call it Mar Vista or West LA. Good place.

2013-01-23 01:09:36 AM
List is shiat without Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Ditto Churchill's in San Marcos.

Bier Baron ain't nothing to fark with. Glad this list didn't take the easy D.C. answer with RFD. RFD sucks.

2013-01-23 01:15:42 AM
By the way, if you're in the D.C. area, overlook the Quarry House in Silver Spring at your own peril.

Seriously. If you're not watching your step, you'll fall down the stairs.

I'm honestly surprised the Yardhouse in SD didn't make the list, but they had some good picks instead. It was confusing to see so many pubs listed as "San Diego, CA" that are not in San Diego, though. Sort of like someone naming a bar in Long Island as one of NYC's top nightclubs.

2013-01-23 01:17:35 AM
Blind Lady and tiger tiger? Both bars are fine...but for the love of god people stop coming here. We've blown straight through hipster and into yuppie. You're even driving all the hookers away! I feel like a stranger in my own neighborhood anymore.

\Bottlecraft is also opening here soon so for you less douchey people you might want to check that out.

2013-01-23 01:17:49 AM
Victoly: Draft, I am disappoint.

Or to be less cryptic, they left off 1702 here in Tucson.

2013-01-23 01:19:40 AM
We must have paid off the judges - 2 local Des Moines IA bars made it! El Bait Shop really is a cool place with huge AND smart beer selection. Royal Mile? I've been there but not much made it through the memory hole. It was late. I think I really liked it.

me as well.

also surprising: Bierkraft only hit their radar this year?

Ah hell didn't even notice small bar...sigh...

2013-01-23 01:21:49 AM
No mention of Rhino's in Missoula, lame.

And I live in the city with 7 of them and live on the street with three of them.

I live not too far from Saraveza, and have been there many times. I can definitely testify that they deserve to be on the list.

Have you checked out thorn street brewing yet? Check it out when you get the chance it's new and in NP.

Sorta. It's more east like 32nd. In a weird spot that is mostly residential. Except for the intersection.

2013-01-23 01:28:33 AM
They forgot the Box Bar in Plymouth, MI.   500 kinds of beer with 50 or so on tap.

2013-01-23 01:28:42 AM
Not a single one in Vegas? Crown and Anchor should be on this list.

Yard house blows. But San Diego is the county too.

Ahh ok I rarely go down that way except to hit Pats and the foot. I'll have to check them out.

Yard house is like 90% InBev and AB beer. Only about 10 or so actual crafts. The selection is pretty poor. More for frat guys.

Yeah, good beer and the place is great. Also the new much bigger Hess is opening up soon too in NP. Like east of 30th a couple of streets by university.

Kudos for finding Deep Ellum in Boston, that's a serious under the radar beer bar. What's up with Gingerman these days, I haven't been back there in 10 years, and it was a douchey after work bar back then, it's hip now?

Yeah, that's a weird spot. Parking won't be bad, though.

Hillcrest Brewing Company has some good stuff, too. The Pearl Necklace even comes with a pearl necklace (don't worry, it's plastic). Good luck parking in HC.

Yeah there are about 4-5 new bars coming in. It's getting crazy. North Park (and nearby) is changing so fast I can barely keep up with it. Most of my old haunts are gone and more chain type places are opening. (maybe they go by different names but same owners). It's kind of depressing to me...

You'll love it. They have a different bratwurst plate every week, and it's always delicious. Also good: pretzels with beer cheese. Owner also owns the taco bar next door, also delicious (he's a Texan.)

Read again - "less than 3 locations". No chains allowed.

WooHoo! My favorite bar made the list - Redlight Redlight and Oblivion are the only bars worth visiting in Orlando. I've been going to RR since they were in the attic off of Hannibal Sq with only room for 4 tables and 6 draft lines. They have gotten bigger and better with each move and I love the new Corrine location.

2013-01-23 01:50:24 AM
Out of the three bars in this list from Milwaukee, I have heard of one of them.

Granted, the other two are in a neighborhood I don't live in (but would actually quite like to, girlfriend is resistant), but really, no Von Trier?

2013-01-23 01:51:00 AM
List fails without Andy's Corner Bar in Bogota NJ. Link show's its 98 rating by beeradvocate.com and it's category as "world class"

Fark Bonus: It's not on the corner
Extra Fark Bonus: The guy who owns it is not named Andy
