Shouldn't be the cube, it should be the glass that does so.
Fix it

Does it know the difference between cask strength scotch and a lite beer?
Does it know the difference between a sip and a chugging of the entire contents of the glass?
I think this accuracy is +/- 10,000%.

Non-video related article: Examiner

Sounds like a cool idea, except most people don't get their alcoholic drinks refilled in the same glass if they're out partying. If this is relying on one cube used throughout the night, I just don't see that happening. And the more you drink, the less likely you are to keep track of it.

Thank you. Auto-start video links suck.

An ice cube that tells people(read guys) when others(read girls) are too drunk to make good decisions....

Yup, good idea.

Similarly to a breathalyzer just inside the bar door, this will be joyfully used to see who can chart the highest. Low guy drives home.

Bullshiat. The circuit shown and components listed, if accurate, can do little more than count and blink a light, and it would have to make some wild ass guesses as to the volume and alcohol content of each of your sips. The only communication device is an IR led, how is that gonna text anybody? Unless there's a second component you wear elsewhere with a cell communication component, in case you didn't already look like enough of an asshole with your blinking drink.

I had an ice cube telling me that I had enough just the other night. The glass was doing it too, and so was this one know-it-all cocktail napkin. This isn't news, this has existed for as long as I can remember and longer than I can forget.
