Whiskey is best chugged straight from the bottle after sitting in the trunk of a hot car all day.

The warmth of the bottle on your lips and your now steaming gullet aids in absorption which makes the drive home less memorable and that is important when you consider the fact you are drinking hot whiskey you had stashed in the trunk of your car on a hot summer day.

Chilling lower quality whiskey makes it drinkable.

Sometimes I'll get a splash of water good and hot before adding a double shot of whiskey to it. Fire in the belly is a good thing when it's 0F or colder.
