Any notions of venting are crap psychology.I get off of the violence-is-bad boat when they try to universalize the principle, but I agree that violence in anger is seldom if ever a Good Thing. There are healthier ways to deal with emotions like this. Even martial artists know that "getting it out" is doing it wrong.
quietwalker: I don't know why people believe that venting will work as a common sense view. They're all living examples of how that obviously does not work, but they ignore all the evidence.
