You're not, subby.

I have a good friend who's youngish (mid 20's) who grew up on (and never outgrew) Power Rangers who would probably commit a major felony to own this thing.

I like how it's made entirely out of vintage toys that are now worthlessly glued into a supertoy.

So, can I ask you something outside of my usual hovels?

Why Sentai shows over Kamen Rider? I can't really get into either since I have absolutely no nostalgia for them, but I feel like there's more adult appeal in the latter.

For me, it's exactly what you said--nostalgia appeal. The only American Rider exposure I had was Masked Rider...and the best part of that, to me, was the Power Rangers lead in. I know there is a huge following for Kamen Rider in the Power Rangers community, by way of people downloading the subbed episodes. From what I understand, the Rider series tend to handle the story with a little more of an adult hand, more violent, etc. Outside of an odd episode here and there, I can't rally say I've seen much of the source Sentai series either, though.

In fact, I think the last season of PR I watched all the way through was RPM, which was on an entirely different level than your typical PR. Before that, Dino Thunder (nostalgia, again). I dabbled in Samurai, and wasn't impressed, but Megaforce is shaping up to be a major nostalgia circle jerk, which has me interested again. My main interest lies with MMPR-Turbo, which aired while I was in the magical age of 7-11, and fell perfectly into their target demographic. I guess it's not so much remaining a fan of the continuing product as it is holding tightly to that part of my childhood.

From the close up photo, those aren't vintage toys. They look like the artist cleared out the clearance aisles from all of his/her local stores for last year's figures.

It is kinda cool. Loved the power rangers when I was younger. My cousins and I would watch it every day after school.
