You're gonna be in the Hall of Fame? For what? Farking up the World Series?

Classic.

Just look at those hair styles back then. And that facial hair? Side burns!? Oh god. And those uniforms! Totally unflattering.

Whatever you do, don't ask the skipper about Terry Crowley...

It's 2013. Shouldn't there be a cable channel that shows sporting events live and uncensored? With players, refs and coaches mic'ed up? I'd watch that.

Haha, that was wonderful. I love how after the first minute they are going through the motions for show. Also enjoyed when they go back and forth calling each other a liar. I would love if we could just listen to the players, coaches, and officials uncensored when watching sports.

Me, I'm a fan of Earl Weaver's Manager's Corner.

I seriously listened to this five times Saturday. I thought it was awesome.

I think my favorite Weaver moment was when he got tossed before he even reached the top step of the dugout on his way out to argue a call.

This is why we need Ozzie Guillen back managing. All the other great ranting managers are either dead (Weaver, Sparky) or retired (Cox, Lasorda, Piniella). Ozzie has the same number of rings as Earl, plus he can give the umps shiat in two languages - and Spanish is one of the world's great languages for cursing.

Those other guys are great baseball guys, great team managers.  I actually think Ozzie is a bit of a psychopath, so the less of him the better if you ask me.

He's a psychopath with a .500+ winning percentage.

You want a psychopath, try Bobby Valentine.

Five times?  Don't you think you would have been better off getting your ass out to the bars that night and hustling around the streets?

I thought that was pretty entertaining. True showmen in action.

My favorite fact about Earl is that he was thrown out of both games in a doubleheader.

I don't need a prick stuck in me. I'm told I'm already a prick.

You missed one.

The best part about that is is that it's the top of the 1st, I believe

Two other classic Weaver moments:

Weaver headed to the dugout screaming, "I'm going to check the rule-book on that" to which the umpire replied, "Here, use mine." Weaver shot back, "That's no good - I can't read Braille."

and

He once told an umpire that he could appear on What's My Line? wearing his mask, chest protector and ball/strike indicator and still nobody would guess he was an umpire.

In the minors, Ron Luciano tossed him from all four games of a four game series.

I would have loved to post the video from I Love Lucy where she starts cursing at a flat tire in spanish but it appears to be nowhere online. this saddens me.

Billy Martin and Ron Luciano went out drinking the night before. The next day there was
a game.Luciano blew a call.Billy figured he had to stick up for his team.He didn't have much
of an argument. He went out and yelled at Luciano "I GOTTA A HANGOVER' Luciano yells out "ME TOO'

I remember a story a couple of months ago about how most umpire-manager yelling matches are just as fake as we know they are. Except there was a quote from an ump that went something like "Most managers were okay. Except for Earl Weaver. That guy was legitimately insane."

Bobby Cox was ejected from 158 regular-season and three postseason games. I have to imagine he's a little more like Earl than most.

Spanish does, indeed, have some wonderful swears.

In English, though, we are unequaled in racial slurs.

Tom Ley may want to go back and watch the video again... Weaver clearly cusses directly at the umpire several times.

The game in the link. Looking at the scoreboard and the "Jesus, we just started" at the end, I believe it was in the first

Not the World Series. It was a home game against the Detroit Tigers with a lot of empty seats. Top of the first.
