And he badmouths "Raiders"

"as much as I'd like to do a movie with Spielberg, the script is as moronically sh*tty as so many other flicks of this ilk."

Truly a monster.

Occasionally, I'm skeptical about these things.  I find it a bit odd that she's making the claim so many years after the fact (and 21 years after his death).  One might think that Nastassja was also abused if that was his nature.

Klaus Kinski was pretty insane so the charges are plausible but unprovable.

Damn, now that I'm thinking about Klaus Kinski and insanity I want to watch Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes (Aguirre, The Wrath of God) again.

From KK's wiki:

Kinski's younger daughter, actress Nastassja Kinski, who is Pola's half-sister, was questioned about the matter in an interview published in the January 13, 2013, online issue of the German tabloid Bild. She confirmed that he tried with her, but did not actually succeed. She stated: "He was no father. 99 percent of the time I was terrified of him. He was so unpredictable that the family lived in constant terror." When asked what she would say to him now, if she had the chance, she replied: "I would do anything to put him behind bars for life. I am glad he is no longer alive."[20]

Aguirre, the Wrath of God is one of the most visually amazing movies I've ever seen and he was madcap (and apparently really crazy) when they put him out in the jungle for months.

So hey, who cares, dude could pull off a crazy lunatic without a lot of effort.

Klaus himself wrote that he molested Nastassja when she was a child (she admits that he did try, albeit unsuccessfully).

Guy was incredibly talented but by all accounts (and I mean all accounts - even his best friend Werner Herzog admits to seriously considering murdering him at various points in their friendship) a terrible human being.

The part that I put in bold of what you wrote has a shiatload to do with the underlined bit. People who have been sexually abused by a family member don't admit it because they're afraid of being told "No you're lying, that didn't happen and if it did why didn't you say so when it was happening?". Maybe she's only recently come to terms with it and herself?

That's bullshiat. He's not saying it didn't happen, he's just saying that the timing makes him wonder. Wondering is ok. Questioning is ok. It's how we find out the truth. Blindly accepting every accusation as the golden truth is just as bad as denying everything outright.

No one is shutting her down and calling her a lying whore. You can relax.

I'm aware that Werner Herzog thought he was batshait insane and a horrible human being...he just took horrible to a worse level by sexually assaulting his daughters.

This really puts Aguirre in a new light...he wasn't really acting, was he?

I remember reading an article in Fangoria several years ago about a guy who worked with Kinski on a movie. He said that Klaus told him "You know, when Nastassja was 12, I raped her"

Nobody should be surprised.

A group that allows casting couches and passing around young boys and teens won't think anything about screwing little girls, related or not.

Jack Lemmon told me that he was in line at Ace Hardware in Beverly Hills, and the sales clerk kept looking past him. "I may not be the biggest star in the world" he said, "but, jeez, usually when I stand in line, the clerk will notice me. I turned around, and there was Klaus Kinski with an ax."

*snort* I can completely picture Jack Lemmon kind of just slowly turning, seeing Kinski with the ax and just thinking "Huh, well alright then."

Aguirre, the Wrath of God, is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. It still haunts my days. Fitzcarraldo is also great, but not quite the same level for me.

I don't think it diminishes the films to know this, although it certain diminishes the man, and I'm sorry this woman had to go through that unbelievable assaulting torment. Kinski was just a crazy man. This adds to the list of his crimes.

Now, if we learned that Werner Herzog did anything like this, I'd be crushed. The man, for all I know, is adorable and awesome.

When they were making Fitzcarraldo, the indians working on the film offered to kill Kinski and make his body disappear into the jungle. Herzog says he seriously considered their offer, but he needed Kinski to finish the film (he'd already restated the film once, after Jason Robards and Mick Jagger quit).

That's three miles from the 90210 (Beverly Hill PO). And thirty years ago, there may have been one closer.
