Apparently not. But here's the stat line for their leaders:

5 Superbowls for Brady
5 Superbowls Bilicheck
5 for Elway
5 for Laundry
6 for Don Shula

I'm not really a sports fan, but if asked I'm a Pats fan. I grew up in Foxborough and I was a sort of Pats fan when they sucked and I still am a sort of Pats fan.

I was a Red Sox fan for years.  But when they turned into the Little Evil Empire following their WS win with another asshole fan base, I left pretty quick.

Lost to Phoenix on the first day -it was a sign. They should have lost the rest of their games deliberately to get optimum draft choices.  It's not like Boston fans are going to go anywhere. They are rabid.

No worries.

Did anyone else find it odd that in the game they had a little line about how Brady had passed Favre for all time post-season passing yards? It was flashed up there and then was never ever mentioned. My gf and I looked at each other and were puzzled about this.

Because People in power are Stupid: Lost to Phoenix on the first day

2nd week, actually, and that was back when most of the prognosticators thought Kolb & Co could turn around that offense.

I actually like the Patriots for the most part, they are clearly a solid sports franchise, and Tom Brady is a hall of fame quarterback. The reason I dislike the Patriots is because of their fans' and their coach's demeanor. They have an air of entitlement about them that is unseemly. When they win they are not gracious and congratulatory on a job well done by the opponent, they take it as a matter of right, and when they lose they throw a hissy fit and try and shift the blame away from their own lack of achievement.

When people act with due humility, no one really cares whether you win or lose, but when a team acts like going to the Superbowl is a given, and everything else is merely pro forma, then forgive us for feeling satisfaction for seeing people put back in their place a little bit.

/also, as a Ravens fan, yesterday was awesome.

In fairness, they were actually competent with Kolb.

/my team also lost to the Kolb Cardinals (well, for the game-winning drive) and it cost us, potentially, assuming no other results changed, the No. 2 seed and therefore, possibly the Super Bowl

Have we had the "what now" article on the Patriots? Brady will be another year older, Welker could be on the way out. Any chance their assistants get it in their heads that they're head coach material and leave?

Have I ever been glad the Yankees were eliminated? You bet your ass I have. Do I start a stupid blog like KSK and gloat? Not a chance.

I love all of this Pats hate actually, it's kind of funny actually. To see all of these tools get worked up because a team lost just shows me where the intelligence level is located for some folks.

That being said, am I happy the Pats lost? Of course not. Although having been a fan of them growing up and seeing them suck the proverbial suck stick for so many years, I can't get very worked up over it. The loss to the Giants in the SB the first time was the pinnacle of loss-torture. Nothing approaches that now.

Until they draft a decent secondary beyond Talib (and no, McCourty doesn't count) they can't win. They won the other three Super Bowls with top 10 defenses, it's not exactly rocket science.

Maybe they can just have Goodell keep busting other secondaries around the league for Adderall until they find another team that's just going to give up another Pro Bowl-caliber DB for a mid-round pick. If you'd like to aim for San Francisco's DBs this year, I'd appreciate it.

So, two teams have put up premature "Ray's retirement party" countdown clocks, but if the 49ers put one up they are right either way, so would they jinx themselves or not? Inquiring minds want to know.

Act with humility? The Ravens beat the crap out of the pats yesterday, and proved that they were the superior team. But they proved with their quotes (Suggs and Pollard) that they are classless douchebags. So I hope that the 49ers and their scumbag Kaepernick beat the piss out of them in two weeks. The Ravens deserve to be put back in their place, they are not gracious or congratulatory (not that anyone in the Pats organization cares about such shiat).

If Belicheck would have done his presser, Suggs wouldn't have had time to mouth off.

Did Pollard run his mouth?

I didn't hear what Pollard said, as for Suggs, I agree, as a sportsman he should not have said those things in front of the mic, but it's not like he says that about every team, which is exactly what we're talking about, people like watching the Pats lose because they act arrogant, and people like seeing them put in their place.

Root for whomever you want to, but don't be surprised when fans of the winning team are happy. I like the 49ers in general, too, I just hate what they did to Alex Smith.

I found 2 Pollard quotes

First is about the hit on Stevan Ridley:

"It's just a tackle. It's football," he said, as teammates donned white and purple AFC Champions hats and t-shirts. "He broke a hole and we filled. That's fine. That's football. I hope he's okay. We're competitive in the moment. But when everything calms down you want that guy to be okay."

and

About Tom Brady's cleats up slide into Ed Reed:

He said Brady "knew what he was doing. It has to go both ways. Hopefully the NFL will do something about it. If they don't, that's fine. If they do, then that's fine."
They don't sound bad at all.

He's a punk. I don't like him. He's a rookie so I don't know much about him, so granted my opinion is raw. He might end up being as classy as Brady or Eli, but my first impressions are that he is a punk. Still rooting for him in the SB.
