So far about 10 convoys of modified 4x4 vehicles have made the trip, their occupants enjoying heated cabins, electric windows and reclining seats as they journey to the remotest place in the world.

Passing such scenic vistas as the Dry Valleys, the Polar Research Station and the Captain Oates Speed Bump.

Arkanaut: What kind of antifreeze do they use? I just looked up ethylene glycol, and that freezes at 9oF. The average Antarctic winter sees temperatures of below -100oF on average.

Unicorn Blood. Low freezing point, but it's hell on the gaskets.
