So much that. The New Yorker was a great magazine for such a long time. I had no idea they were wallowing in mediocrity until fark started greening his crappy articles constantly.

I think he's going for a real-life Poe's Law... I mean, what else could it be? Satire is supposed to be funny. At least amusing.

Maybe we need a Borowitz' Law: Unless you're actually writing for The Onion, aping The Onion is never funny.

While perhaps true, I did laugh pretty hard at: "We wanted to pick a time when we were positive nothing would be happening that our viewers would want to see."

Any other news agencies in the history of mankind ever "shut down for routine maintenance"?
I've only been listening to the news since I was farking born, in nine teen and farking fifty six, and I have never seen a new network or any other broadcast net work intentionally go dark for any farking reason at all.

Andy Borowitz/The Borowitz Report = satire

So:

satire(The Borowitz Report) = Andy Borowitz
Andy Borowitz/satire = The Borowitz Report

Actually, this makes a lot of sense.

Andy Borowitz/satire = The Borowitz Report

Which means that all of his articles that are linked here should automatically have the Satire tag. Unless we could come up with an "Unfunny Satire" tag... ?

[Insert Bohemian Rhapsody reference]

Anyhow, Fox has pulled away from a Democrat when the Dem has been inconvenient before. Remember that "breaking news" bit they did when Sen. Stabenow was winning a debate with Trace Gallagher? Trace said that they had to pull away for breaking news, which turned out to be a "Shark Week" announcement.

Link

Guess they're really only comfortable with Bob Beckel and Michelle Malkin's pet liberal, Kirsten Powers.

Really? They used to be quite common, even through the 1990s (and presumably later for some stations).
