what an asshole.

2013-01-21 09:46:47 AM
I'm the libbiest lib that ever libbed a lib, but unless his lyrics specifically called out Fartbong0, I don't really see the disrespect.

OK, so he didn't vote for Obama. BFD, that's his right as an American. He was probably just too stoned and forgot to vote.

I'm against censorship. I'm also against poor guest etiquette.

Eddie Adams from Torrance: I'm the libbiest lib that ever libbed a lib, but unless his lyrics specifically called out Fartbong0, I don't really see the disrespect.

Which is what I think he did.

I suppose it's one thing to get up there and call Obama a baby killer and do a tune, but to drag the trolling  out for half an hour?

It gets kind of tiresome and people get annoyed pretty quickly.

2013-01-21 10:18:52 AM
I think the reason this asshole got the hook is because he played the same damned song for 30m and wouldn't leave the stage when asked.

What kills me is that on another site that rhymes with credit, there are people defending LF for standing up and speaking his mind.

2013-01-21 10:26:41 AM
I can't believe that they didn't even google Lupe before they booked him. His feelings about Obama, the federal government, and war etc. are nothing new.

Those anti-liberals don't play nice.

2013-01-21 11:23:41 AM
He's made it clear he dislikes the administration, if the organisers actually did their research, this wouldn't have happened.

I don't remember him as an asshole, what the hell happened to him?

2013-01-21 11:26:11 AM
These anti Obama people still can't get over the fact that we have a black president. Disgusting.

Good question.

Hooked for boring the crowd, not for who he voted for.

Gosh, this brings back memories. When a US Congressman was removed from the State of the Union for interrupting the POTUS and calling him a liar.

Article says he was the headliner, but

This was not about his opinions. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act."

Huh? If he was the headliner, there is no next act.

Well, if you're a one hit wonder, all you can really do is play the same song over and over again...

He's entitled to not like the President - anyone else wonder why he'd agree to perform at an event where they are celebrating the re-election of the President?

I get you want to have your rant, but, really? Use Twitter / FB / Instagram / Fark thread for that...

How dare he criticize Obama like that! He should be rounded up and put in a FEMA camp. Seriously President Obama is beyond criticism. I can't wait till our government develops pre-crime technology and is able to round up people like this before they become a problem...

Sounds like the crowd was thrown for a Lupe.

He wasn't removed by Obama or by any Obama-affiliated people. He was removed by concert organizers. But cheers with that.

How many Tweets would this guy need for a thirty minute song? He should really go with FB. Or, better yet, MySpace.

Many artists understand that there is an element of service in presenting a great performance to a crowd of attentive and well meaning patrons.

It ain't really about you, Jack. Get off the stage.

There goes his inaugural dinner invitation.

An extremely rare case of a liberal actually standing up for what they say they believe in, unlike the rest who packed up their war protest signs the moment Obama was elected. They didn't care anything about the wars, they just wanted to bash Bush. This guy actually has some integrity and it's driving the rest of them nuts.

That's called "rap".

A 30 minute "song"? Who does he think he is, Miles Davis?

I thought you'd be more shocked that your preconceptions about all blacks following Obama are now shattered. But, that would require some self awareness.

He could at least show a bit of respect for the office.
If you're that opposed to the current administration, then don't agree to be a guest entertainer for the inauguration concert.

Or we believed that Obama was in fact trying to get us out of these wars, but recognized the fact that it would be disastrous to do so immediately. He inherited a terrible situation, and unlike the previous administration, we felt like he was doing the best he could with a set of terrible options. In other words we (gasp) trust the President to be President.

Good god...listening to a Lupe Fiasco song for 30 minutes.

I'd have shot him

There were countless anti-war/code pink protests after Obama was inaugurated. And, also, the Iraqi war protests wound down since there was a President that was against the war in charge.

You are a stoopid doodie head.

Did he play "Stack that Cheese?"

2013-01-21 11:51:17 AM
Gonna have to blame whomever booked him for the event. The song he played is on one of his cds and heavily criticizes Obama. It's not quite like hiring the Dead Kennedys or something to celebrate Reagans re-election but it's similar. Granted I would be pissed if I went to go see him and that's all he played, that's what bothers me. People have payed to see you man, just play the song as your finally or something not 30 minutes straight.

Well, there you go. That one is just as ignorant, but kudos for recognizing it. Shhhh. Hold on a sec. I'm watching President Barack Hussein Obama get sworn in for a second time.

On one hand he deserved to be booed for poor entertainment, on the other he is staunchly anti war and always has been.

I don't really care. I just love some of the music he has made.

He performed a 30 minute anti-war song?? I thought that was for jam bands only. Or did he just perform the same song over and over? After the first 10 minutes didn't anyone get pissed or start booing? Why didn't Obama get Wu-Tang to perform?? I NEED ANSWERS

Because the first attempt to bring down the TWC never happened. And the plot for the second attempt wasn't hatched during the Administration before Bush's either. Nope, Bush pissed off the Muslims all by his little old lonesome. Don't get me wrong; there's worlds of difference and ways he could have done better. Iraq could have been handled by two men, rather than the fiasco we got involved in. But he was far from the cause for the mess you imagine him to be.

God, what a train wreck. Who thought it was a good idea to invite a rapper for God's sake? Nice call. Someone is probably out looking for work now. Good idea to invite a no talent hack rappin moran to do your show. Idiots.
