The mean waitress skit was pretty good. Top Dog Chef could've been a 30 Rock "skit". Weekend update had it's moments. That last bit about the guy who stabbed a deaf man because he thought ASL was gang signage was funny. But yeah, Jennifer Lawrence has a good reputation for being a cool chick. More could have been done with her.

The Martin Short one just before the break was pretty solid. The Justin Beiber one in two weeks may tear open a gateway to hell.

Lance Armstrong has had 7 tour de france wins, an olympic medal, and a ball taken fro him. Te'o is going to be a multimillionaire when he's selected in the first round of the NFL draft.

Neither is going to be "taken down" by an SNL skit. Get a clue, subby.

I liked the Top Dog Chef sketch and the Hobbit sketch.

/make-up artists must have gotten some serious overtime this week

I think you're using the word "hilarious" wrong. You're welcome.

Oh yeah, the Hobbit one was decent. Forgot about that one.

StoPPeRmobile: spelletrader: "hilarious" and "SNL" do not belong in the same sentence.

It's hillarious that you think you know something about SNL.

You think today's SNL is funny?

darch: The Starbucks at home faux commercial was hilARious. The Foster thing was ok. Everything else... even Weekend Update, sucked the big one.

And WHO IS PICKING THE MUSICAL GUESTS?!?!?1 Holy CHRIST, are they horrible. That hipster POS "band" last night made me want to punch a dog in the face. Repeatedly.

As a Denverite I agree the Lumineers are just horrible little douchebags. They'll probably win a grammy.

Snl has had lots of crappy musical guests since I was born.

Where have you been?

Agreed, but lately it's been extra, ÜBER-crappy.

Moodybastard: The writing is weaker. They've lost some talent from last year and they are loosing some more soon. Sudeikis will be moving on sooner than later....either to do movies or to bone Olivia Wilde at Kansas games.

They're engaged, so that's very possible.

I like the Lumineers. They have some sweet songs. I don't think they'll last too long though. And SNL has a history of booking the latest new thing. You want to talk about hipster crap, look at last season's musical guests.

Did you forget to switch to your alt?

On another note Anyone that was coming of age when the Emmanuel thing was big on late night cable should have had a good chuckle at the Danielle sketch.

Subby needs a dictionary.

I feel like such a perv for thinking that, as unfunny as it was, that "Danielle" skit was a pretty spot on satire of 1970's foreign softcore flicks...

I'm confused. The headline uses "SNL" and "hliarious" in the same sentence, but seems to be neither ironic nor sarcastic.

/Unpossible.

That was just terrible.

I hate to be one of those assholes who constantly hates on SNL. I enjoy being an asshole in other ways. But that was not good.

But even though I hardly ever watch SNL anymore and it's rarely funny when I do, I would hate to see it canceled. It's been on all my life and I'd miss it. Besides, even the worst players do what I could never do. I have trouble giving a bullshiat presentation to a room full of 30 sycophants. I couldn't imagine trying to be funny live in front of whatever millions of people their audience is. So rock on, SNL. And find a way to re-animate Phil Hartman FFS.

snl.jt.org

I suspect that it's 'hilarious' in the same way some ladies in articles are 'smokin' hot'.

Wow. "Hilarious"? Didn't even crack a smile. It was actually pretty bad on all fronts - a skit that, I'm sure, sounded good in concept but flopped like a dead fish.
