So what you're saying is that the country is so stable and happy the most historic thing is the arrival of a disco supergroup?  Kinda refreshing.

Yes, Sweden has no other type of museums, and the US only does serious archives.

Unlike inducting ABBA into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this actually makes sense.

If the National Civil Rights museum is in a former hotel where do you put the ABBA museum?

Speaking of ABBA, Dave Grohl played drums on Swedish band Ghost's cover of ABBA's "I'm a Marionette."  It's awesome.

The Swedish government wants to keep on good terms with the members of ABBA in case they ever need to borrow some money from them.

The group sold around 370 million records in total and are part of a rich Swedish pop tradition which includes Roxette, Ace of Base, Europe and Kent.

I drove by a sign for the Alabama Museum the other day. Took a minute to register it was not celebrating the state, but the band.

I disagree. Sweden's most prominent museum has to be Vasamuseet. They have art museums like every other developed country, but they have a 17th century sailing ship almost completely intact that sank in their harbor, and because of their meticulous publishing, its one of the most well-respected history museums in the Western world.

It's a cool museum. But when I changed my mind, I was the first in line. It's still free, so take a chance on the Abba Museum.

There should be an ABBA museum in the Hoover Dam. When you get the chance.
