BarkingUnicorn: It's good that unhealthy habits are no longer portrayed as a problem only of fat kids. Fit kids shouldn't think "Cheetos only make fat kids fat."But seriously: a National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance?
TheManofPA: No one in that picture is riding a rascal so I don't think that picture was really DisneyWorld
ohnonotfloridaagain: Never have seen the tiki birds
EngineerAU: two towns over: TV's Vinnie: Those Mickey Mouse ice cream bars aren't gonna eat themselves you know. One thing I didn't notice til now: Fatso is Canadian. That's a Roots bag, only sold up here...HuhI don't know if Roots has stores in the US any more (they use to have on in Salt Lake City) but they do have a website that targets Americans. Link They also made the uniforms for Team USA in the 2002 Olympics.
Epstein's Mother: doloresonthedottedline: Disneyland has the original Tiki Room and a Nemo version of the submarine ride. I forget if it has Mr. Toad's Wild Ride still.Disneyland still has Mr Toad. What irks me as much as the scooters is the double-wide strollers. You shuffle through adventureland like a herd of cattle then WHAM! a double-wide coming the opposite direction parting the flow of people like a wedge!
MaxSupernova: The only disney world food that I found to be good was Ragland road in downtown disney. All the other food was just kinda meh. The counter service at morocco in epcot was pretty tasty as well.
ohnonotfloridaagain: Mock26: I hate the updated Tiki Bird show. I also miss 20,000 Leagues and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.Never have seen the tiki birds, but do also miss 20,000 leagues. Best memory of Mr. Toad was waiting in a long line (2+ hours) for it during spring break with some family, including my BIL, who fumed the entire time and was even more pissed after we got off the ride cause it was short and kinda cheesy (in his opinion). Later when they closed the ride they put parts of it up for auction. I generously offered to buy him something from it, but he vehemently refused. He has still never gotten over that experience :)

ModernLuddite: I used to work with this HUGE woman. 500 pounds easy. She literally ate a jar of mayonnaise for lunch. fark it was gross.
arghyematey: ohnonotfloridaagain: gingerjet: Perhaps Epcot could start with fixing its horrible food at its park./the worst French food I ever had was at the French restaurant at EpcotDisney food is weird. Even in their top-of-the-line restaurants their food is just ok IMO (although I haven't yet tried Victoria and Albert's). We recently ate at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge and had yet another baffling experience. Lovely, detailed menu - fresh, unique ingredients and preparation -> blah on the plate. I don't get why this happens. Is it because they are trying to cook for palates from all over the world (and kids too), so purposely make everything bland and somewhat flavorless? Don't know, but if I'm gonna pay those kind of prices for a meal I will go somewhere local and independent from now on.Sadly, after you've lived in Orlando for a while you realize that Disney's restaurants really are some of the best in town. One notable exception is the Ravenous Pig in Winter Park. That restaurant gives me hope for Orlando. Pricey but worth checking out if you want to experience "real" Orlando./still miss living in Charleston SC... there is an amazing amount of great restaurants for being a small city.
