Yeah - trust me, many cats don't just "figure it out." You do have to provide some degree of clue to those corner-pissing, rug-shiatting morons. If you get them as a kitten, it's easy - if you adopt, as I do, it's a bit harder.

I gave up, and put a cat door in some years ago. The good news? They no longer poop in the house. The bad news? They bring in birds, squirrels, and snakes, instead.

Wait until the first time the kid decides to finger paint the iPotty with his "creation". And infants/toddlers will do just that.
