I'm betting Danny boy got an earful about his abysmally late stoppage earlier in the night and didn't want a repeat. Still, Bisping was stunned and in a really bad position. If he was moving around more, I'd have kept them going, but when you just lay there and turtle while someone wails on you, I think that's enough to stop a fight.

Maybe if Bisping had done anything at all during the fight - but he was just completely outclassed from the opening bell. The only reason to keep it going would be for Bisping to absorb more punishment, which would have been okay too.
