Didn't see the first. Who was the bad guy?

simplicimus: Didn't see the first. Who was the bad guy?

The Lizard, played by Rhys Ifans(who deserved better).

DeHaan impressed in Chronicle and Lawless(though he had a smaller role in the latter) and I'm sure he'll rise to the occasion again. It's still not enough of an incentive to make me watch it, though.

Thanks. From the comics, decades ago, I always thought the Lizard was kind of lame. Doc Ock and whatever flavor the Goblin came in at the time were better matches for Peter Parker.

No problem. And I completely agree with you.

What a colossal FAIL. I'm f*cking sick of the goblins. Carnage needs to be in the next one, with Tombstone as a backup/distracting villain. Maybe Rhino or Kraven.

Kraven is too awesome to be a background guy. Carnage would be awesome though. Rhino could be too. I believe I heard Electro is going to be the main villain in this movie. Not sure what to think of that. Always thought that guy was stupid.

Lizard reminded me of the goombas from that crappy Mario Bros movie from the early 90s.

When I saw the first preview, I was wondering why Killer Croc was in a Spider-Man movie.

Definitely

this. "Crossovers barely works in the comics, and they're trying to do it here?" was my exact thought.

I can't believe a walking mushroom has a better set of carnivore teeth than a human/reptile hybrid.

I guess Connor used DNA from an iguana or tortoise?

I still want a carnage/venom spiderman movie. Please set one up for that.
Also for spiderman lovers, they've renovated and amped up the spiderman ride at orlando. I went on it 4 times and it was awesome.

I can see Electro working on the big screen. A lot of cinematic potential. But they really need to do Kraven, at least as a B-story.

I still find it amazing that Spectacular Spiderman showed a ton of awesome villain possibilities for these movies, and the best they can come up with is another ****ing goblin.

/Obligatory Spectacular reference
//Would love a Mysterio/Chameleon/Tinkerer team-up like they did on the show

2013-01-20 12:06:37 AM
Can we get Hobgoblin, or is that too close to "Gremlins" ripoff "Hobgoblins?"

How about Demogoblin? Doppelganger? Scarlet Spider? White Rabbit?

They should have just done a series following the spiderman cartoon I used to watch when I was younger.

Tv has surpassed movies.

Amen to that. I want to punch Quesadilla in his cheesy tortilla wrapped balls. I've bought exactly 11 issues of ASM since they did the one more day reboot. I read up on the "Superior Spiderman" stunt and... well, there are not enough eyerolls in the universe to explain how I felt.

Marvel, to me, has basically shot themselves in the foot all over the place. The ended a couple of their real good books and took some excellent writers off their properties, for instance, getting rid of Ed Brubaker from Captain America.... wtf???

But, they retain Dan Slott and his sophmoric writing and further screw around with Spidey, pretending to "kill" Peter parker.

Anyway, I went to the comic book shop yesterday with my wife to pick up the latest Walking Dead and The Boys trades. I stopped by the recent comic book shelf (which I haven't visited for well over 2 months now) and looked at all the titles currently in, when it dawned on me - there is absolutely NOTHING Marvel or DC that I want to read anymore. Nothing. Considering I am a life long fan of both companies star characters, I think they have made some major mistakes in the last year (both companies to be honest). I don't understand why they want to alienate the people who both a) buy their books and b) have the money to buy their books while trying to target their reboots at a group of people they are basically just guessing exist (new comic readers??? who are they? what do they want?)

Blah... I need to lay off the hard ginger beer in the afternoon. I'm getting all ranty and shiat.

My feelings exactly. Though I'm reading Batman Unlimited (Detective Comics still seems okay, too). I'm reading FF from Marvel too but if Allred wasn't doing the art I know I wouldn't bother. I'm more interested in Dynamite's stuff than anything else.

The last one was better than Spiderman 3 but thats not saying much...

Still not sure who im more pissed at for that. The studio for making Rami do Venom when they knew he didnt want to, or Rami for being a biatch about it and doing it terribly out of spite.

3 shoulda been this...

Maximum Carnage would make such a great movie. I can just see carnage and his gang ripping people in half in Central Park.

The riot scenes from shrieks mind control could be epic.

I always thought Kraven would be a cool movie character, if done right. Who would you cast?
