It's actually the second time she mentioned her in an acceptance speech, and they're no longer together. I've always suspected that Cydney left her because she refused to come out for decades, and these last couple of public quasi-admissions were too little too late to try and save their relationship.

As far as I know, she still flat-out refuses to talk about her personal life in interviews. Think of the age we live in, in which "celebrities" are happy to tell us far more than we ever need to know about them. And then think about Jodie Foster.
