So, Obama might be hiding stuff from white people.

I'm glad he checked under that couch in the Oval Office for WMDs, but I was certain that's where they'd be...

And they were right - he was hiding the fact that he in fact had no evidence whatsoever of any legal cause to invade Iraq.

I was actually referring to the people who thought Bush hid something about 9-11,but that's true as well.

Ishkur: Okay, what?

You know, things... things and stuff. Like his real birth certificate. Or all the people he's had murdered to keep his radical gay Marxist Islamic roots a secret.

(I'll never get over the Darsano Rahardjo entry; can't tell if I'm most amazed by the blatant blood libel of claiming all Muslims are required to commit a murder before their 10th birthday, or how even if that ignorant accusation were true the fact that this fictional child was killed in Indonesia doesn't exactly narrow down the list of suspects since a majority of the country is Muslim.)

2013-01-19 09:12:20 AM
Well of course he is.

He knows the secrets in area 51 now. And obviously the location of the time portal in Afghanistan.

And then there was that one time on Mars, at Space Camp....

"This conspiracy theory is much more widely believed mostly because it's been discussed so often," said Dan Cassino, a professor of political science at Fairleigh Dickinson. ... Democrats and independents with more political knowledge were found to be more likely to dismiss conspiracy theories, while Republicans with more political knowledge were more likely to believe the theories."

Well, thank you Fox News.

Any conservatives in here?? Look at this -- the study shows that the more politically engaged you are if you're a conservative in the U.S., the more likely you are to believe crazy made-up shiat. You're being lied to. You allow yourself to be led around the nose to serve other people's interests. It's making you angrier and crazier. You're losing sleep and it's affecting your health, mood, relationships. Yet you keep going back for more.

If you really wanted to, you could hold onto a few conservative core principles and return to sanity. If enough Republicans do that we could start having a meaningful dialog and actually have a functioning government for once, and on a personal level y'all wouldn't be so stressed and angry, feeling that incipient heart attack feeling quite so much anymore.

It's your choice, if you want.

2013-01-19 09:21:38 AM
Yes I am sure Obama is hiding something.

But then again I am also sure that Bush was, as was Clinton, as was Papa Bush, as was St. Ronny, as was that peanut guy, as was the guy who tripped a lot, as was the guy who was not a crook (and I am extra sure there), so on and so forth to George Washington. And while I am at it, I am sure Subby has something to hide.

The one that sticks in my mind from 2005-2006 was that 55% of all of us believed that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11. That's a belief that was cultivated by the Bush administration (implicitly) and FNC and the right wing noise machine.

2013-01-19 09:30:35 AM
They can believe all the like. Just don't go spending $40 Million in tax money trying to find out what it is.

2013-01-19 09:33:42 AM
Of course he's heading something, probably a lot of somethings. He's a politicians for god's sake, and an informed citizenry needs to keep a short leash on any elected leaders.

That said, I somehow doubt what I've just written is what the Republicans in the poll are thinking of.

Put me in the 64% column.

100% positive he is hiding his disdain for Congressional Republicans.

Is the obvious tag on break?

All throughout the Benghazi ... thing ... we've repeatedly heard calls to investigate and impeach the president for gosh, well we don't know yet, that's why we need to investigate.k

2013-01-19 09:47:52 AM
The only "something" Obama is hiding is his overwhelming desire to punch john boehner in the cock.

2013-01-19 09:52:44 AM
Of course Republicans think he's Up to something. He's BLACK.

2013-01-19 09:56:09 AM
DNRTFA, but are we talking about Benghazi yet?

I really think that needs to be a scandal.  We should be talking about it.

Maybe not so much. Didn't Obama say he wasn't going to deal with the House on the debt ceiling?

Republicans tried to make create a scandal out of deaths of Americans serving overseas, buy cutting the funding for security and seeing what happened. I never heard about them following up on it, though.

Actually after a throughough investigation we discovered that Eric Cantor, Paul Rubin and Marco Rubio are the leaders of Al-Queda in the Islamic Magreb.

That's the scandal.   Damn MSM is hiding these proud republican achievements.

So, paranoia is a prerequisite for being a Republican and the more education you have, the less likely you are to believe the venom spewed by Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Matt Drudge.
Thanks Politico

I'm not surprised by this. These people are afraid.

I know GOPer's like to mock Obama for his 2008 "Hope and Change" campaign slogan, but I think it never really occured to them that the message there was that you need to be hopeful for the country and future, instead of fearful of both. It's actually quite ironic that the group of people who mocked this message the most are the same exact group of people who are so afraid - claiming that we are seeing the end of democracy, or the end of capitalism, or death panels, or whatever nonsense it is that they're spouting off this week.

Really... of course they are distrustful, their leaders keep them in line by keeping them in constant fear of every idea and person that they don't like. This shouldn't really surprise anyone (and I doubt it does).

GIven that Hannity, Limbaugh, and Drudge all failed to graduate college, I'd say low education is almost mandatory.

So, in round numbers, Republicans are about 30% of the population and 2/3's of them think Obama is hiding something. That means 20% of the population thinks Obama is hiding something. Thinking back, didn't Bush have a 20% approval rating when he left office? Do you think there is a 1:1 correlation between the people how approved of Bush at the end of his term and the people who think Obama is hiding something?

No, because they never really liked Bush anyway and he was a RINO and they consider themselves "more of a libertarian."
But they'll be the first in line to prop up Jeb in 3 years.
