Does Texas know that New York has Messicans?

I was wondering when our long drought of gun threads would finally end.

Puerto Ricans.

No, really, please pack your weapons, load the dog and then kids in your pick up and head on down.

Sure, come to Houston. I know where to get real Pastrami.

I've heard that Austin is nice, as far as Texas goes.

The city motto is "Keep Austin Strange", but it's more like Baton Rouge, a University town that happens to have the State Legislature.

Weird, not strange.

I don't get why Texas gets such a reputation for being a gun paradise.  Sure, plenty of people here have guns, but the government won't even let you open carry.

I would, but I can't afford to.

If I absolutely have to, I'll move to Vermont. Better gun laws than even Texas, and I could still keep my job.

There's a lot of man made lakes here, many of them stocked.

What's the largest city in the US to ever elect a gay mayor?

Houston.

Well the good part of living in Houston is the relative lack of Texans.

Come to Indiana! Just as crazy about guns as Texas (and we have CC permits), but half the drive! And our new teatard governor promised to slash income taxes, so if you make a liveable wage in New York, you'll come out ahead.

I would just like to point out that I find it hilarious that my city of Chicago now has looser gun laws than the entire state of New York.

Moved to TX from NJ in 2005, got out as soon as possible, which still took me 5.5 years. Austin was a fun place to live, but due to work, ended up transferring to Houston, then to Tyler. The religious mafia made it impossible to find work with honest people, and aside from Austin, Texans have given up on having vibrant, interesting downtowns. Just as sad place to be, overall, and I could give a damn about weaponry.

But hey, the mentally disabled have had it too good for too long.

I love Austin, but the "Texas is best" crowd is full of shiat. I have lived in California, New York, and Texas. Only one of those states is constantly worried about proving itself better than the other two: Texas. The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

jungleroy59: Gun owning New Yorkers move to Texas. Median IQs of both states go up

You know. New York forgot to put an exemption in the new gun regulation for law enforcement and are now scrambling to fix it. This is how stupid their legislatures are. I wouldn't write off non-gun owners as some how more enlightened and intelligent...
