It could be the suckiest suck that ever sucked but it's sci-fi. It's not wrestling, it's not assholes pretending to look for ghosts and it's not Urkel making people wander around dark rooms so it's ok in my book.

I hope they do it. I'll watch it. But I also watch things like Sharktopus and The God Monster of Indian Flats, so my bar is set kinda low.

so they cancel Alphas, they won't pick up BSG Blood and Chrome (which is the show all the new series "haters" wanted to see in the first place) but they decide to green light a project no one cares about or has heard of so they can cancel it for underperforming after they completely fail to support it? typical.

They cancelled "Alphas". Fark Syfy. Fark them to hell.

What, did Bonnie Hammer keel over and die? Maybe she left to helm The Golf Channel to turn it into 24-hour cooking shows and reality programming, because that's what the lowest-common-denominator wants.

Speaking of unused scripts for The Thing, anyone ever see Arctic Predator starring a slumming Dean Cain? I thought it was it was the prequel/remake to the original The Thing until I IMDBed it and found out Dean Cain wasn't in that (plus the movie I was watching was set in the wrong polar region).

All those shapeshifting-monster-eating-scientists-in-the-cold movies look alike.

I really liked Alphas. Fark you, Syfy.

Continuum's good, but it's not a Syfy show.

Watched the first season of Continuum last week, not bad, but yeah, syndicated. And a ripoff of Time Trax, but nobody remembers that show.

Except Moore isn't writing it, per the link he's Executive Producing, but someone called "Cameron Porsandeh" is writing it (and I don't see an entry for him at IMDB).

I didn't know they cancelled "Alphas". I really like that show.

Honestly, if NBC was smart (they're not), they would pick up "Alphas". It's a high-quality show, and it's what "Heroes" should have been.

But they don't pick up Borealis? Motherfarkers.

It was initially picked up by ABC, but the Writers' Guild Strike killed it before it had time to start. Then it moved to SyFy.

Well when they cancel "Hannibal" after the first commercial break of the first episode, they'll be an opening.

Whitney got a second season. NBC programming decisions follow no rhyme or reason.

On November 9, 2012, it was renewed for a fourth 13-episode season

I really wish Netflix would pick up Haven. I missed all of the 3rd season.

Falling Sky should restart sometime in May/June

I imagine Hannibal will have a bigger budget and won't have the same broad appeal as a broad comedy about a broad.

Put me down with Arn_Dee, why do we need the Ron Moore series when Arctic's already been done and done well with Borealis? Man, I cannot believe that didn't go to series, it was bloody awesome for a pilot.

I would have liked some sort of end for Alphas. Yes, it was yet another 'homage' to X-Men, but it was a well done one that rivalled the original sometimes. It deserved a movie to wrap up loose ends.

I've never forgiven them for canceling Eureka. A profitable show with great ratings that just wasn't making enough money for the greedy bastards.

I love Eureka, but it started going downhill after the timeline change. It also got tiring that every single episode was about something that could potentially end the entire world.

The final episodes were real bad IMO. They spent something like 4-5 episodes focusing on Holly going bad? I love me some Felicia Day, but they overplayed that way too much. I never understood the whole Sheriff Carter and Carter thing they did the entire show. They just seemed to have no chemistry together whatsoever.

Ron Moore just producing and not writing is bad news for a series. He works magic in the writers room, when he's just the executive producer, things tend to suck and you get wandering dreck like Caprica.
