At least they have a shot at some resolution unlike Alphas and several other shows I was foolish enough to get hooked on.

I lost track of that show when their scheduling got all wonky and I didn't have a DVR yet.  Too bad.  I really liked the first two seasons.

They're showing it on the Science channel, and it's available on Amazon Prime video.

I'm glad that, for once, Fox stuck with a show that had what might be a small but was still a guaranteed audience.

Netflix and Hulu.

I tried to watch the first season, but got annoyed that they felt the need to reiterate the entire plot of the episode every 8-10 minutes, for the benefit of people who were half paying attention, or who were too stupid to "get" what was going on, or something.

I may try Netflix.  Even though it's cheap, seems silly when I have OD for so much on CenturyLink Prism.  But Amazon Prime - is that streaming?  I like Amazon.  And I got a screaming tablet for Christmas.

I stream Netflix and it's easy and the library is almost as big as their deliverable discs.

Yes... if you have an Amazon Prime account, you get a lot of shows & movies for free with it.

Sort of like the X-Files. One-off episodes with a larger arc in the beginning, now all arc shows.

Oh, too bad.  I'm behind, but I have it all recorded on the DVR.  Should I watch the rest of the season?  I think I'm about 4 or 5 episodes in.

Last nights episode was mad crazy. I have a feeling there's gonna be even more twists next week. I'd keep with it, but I'd agree with many others that this show wasn't built for multiple seasons.

Still good, but it's really hard to imagine a season 2, let alone a season 3 or 4.

Yeah.  Whether that was their plan or not, it would be hard to see how the premise itself could be long-lived.

This, and "We have 18 nukes!" *BOOM* "Now we have 17. Anyone feel lucky?"

We know they're the good guys, but any ad hoc nuclear power making such statements would find a small arsenal raining on their doorstep before they launch their load.

So the arc-ness gets better? I am watching through the show and some episodes are so one-off they could be placed anywhere. On netflix, there's an episode #21 from season one that is after the cliffhanger finale, but aired in 2nd season. I realized it was not important enough to watch. I don't like monster-of-the week episodes that don't have any backstory.

I like arc-heavy shows; my favourite was always Babylon 5, which was incomprehensible to anyone starting halfway.

I did notice that the visual quality of the show has taken a bit of a dive in s2 with the move to Vancouver. Since I'm here, it's hard to mistake our climate and building designs for eastcoast USA. There are almost no brick buildings outside of the core of downtown here.

Still, Anna Torv is hot. Why her sister is a totally different ethnicity (Jewish) is confusing.

Gonna have to go back and watch that, I guess. I initially gave up around the third episode where some guy killed a bunch of people (cops even) with a FRICKEN LASER GUN and no one batted an eye.

If they edited out some of the waste of time scenes and subplots, it could have been an awesome mini-series. It might have had legs for another season or two, but only if the first season ended with some kind of major game change.

It sucks when shows are like that. Like Prison Break. He broke out of prison! Awesome.

Now next season... umm.. oh no he's in a different prison! Then a mexican prison!

That show had "24" disease. Have to do the same thing each year but one-up it.

I'm a fan of all three (now at least, having started watching Fringe very recently, like last week, on Netflix - sorry but when it originally came on I couldn't stand the show but I restarted watching it).

I don't think I'm an obnoxious fanboy. I enjoyed Firefly but I think it being a short run is what kept the 'magic' in. If it was longer and everyone was exposed to the characters longer, I think it would've run out of gas eventually. It's only so long that you can accept that somehow there's a solar system with a whole load of habitable planets (it wasn't some galaxy-spanning show, but a single solar system) and yet somehow most of them have people travelling on horseback on them.

Community is a great show that in the 2nd season for the most part, I just got through it (it wasn't as funny as before), and then it improved again in the third season, and hopefully will close on a high note in the 4th.

And Fringe, from what I've watched, goes from compelling arc-based episodes to lame monster-of-the-week episodes. It needed to be a 10-episodes-a-season show to keep the filler down to a minimum.

/I'm also a Supernatural fan, but the show is going downhill faster than Sliders. Wow. It turned into a biatchy bromance.. Every new episode this season that I watch is one where I consider deleting the show from my PVR.

It is possible for a show to nosedive as quickly as Sliders? I loved that show, but I can never bring myself to even finish the fourth season of it.

I still haven't fully grasped why Walter went through so much trouble recording and hiding an elaborate plan on a video medium that's already dated, only to perform the plan himself once the Observers obtained full control.
