Lots of connections you can go through.

Since the 80s "Newhart" series was just a dream of 70s Newhart, you can link up anything from that.  Although, the problem you have with all of these is that since supposedly "St Eligus Hospital" and all of its residents were just in the mind of an Autistic boy... they everything that intersects with them is a "dream".  I suppose you could make an "out" by suggesting that the boy in the show might have been taken to the "real" (in his universe) Cheers bar at one point, so, that still makes the link "real" (ie, he just imagined the St. Elsewhere guys in the cheers bar, but, everything else linked with Cheers was "real").

/yeah, it gets way too complicated to really think about.
//It is good to at least make the case that "Deal or No Deal" was just a dream.

I wonder if anyone cares enough for there to be a Fringe thread. I'm extremely excited/sad for the 2 hour finale tonight! After 5 years!

I'm making a batch of LSD right now to enjoy while I watch the show.

I used to have an old porno on VHS tape that had him in a few scenes and also Geraldo Rivera.
Rivera has a needle dick, BTW.

The full "Munch" list:

http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0004858/

L&O: SVU
30 Rock
The Wire
L&O: TBJ
The Beat
L&O
Homicide
X-Files
Arrested Development (not listed on that page for some reason, but, confirmed on Belzers page)

Jimmy Kimmel doesn't really count, unless you are suggesting all of reality now is linked to Munch.
The Seseme Street thing I think was just included there from their "Parody" (wasn't Belzer playing him)

Would be funny if NBC next season just went gang busters and tried to get him on every show on their schedule during a whole week.

My Belzer number is 2, same as my Bacon number.

He also wrote a very funny book about conspiracy theories.

Munch is the Keystone that links the Saint Elsewhere Tommy Westphall unification theory into all of television.

Belzer gets put to sleep by Hulk Hogan on live T.V. 100 % real, you can see the blood on Belzer's jacket when he turns around.

He also, in all seriousness, has appeared on Sesame Street, I thunk as Munch (but maybe as himself).

The blue kind, not the pink. Also red licorice (at least Red Vines, if you can't find the real stuff in your area. Twizzlers are an abomination.)

Glenford: List fails without mentioning his cameo on The Wire.

That scene rocks. Munch was based on the real life Jay Landsman. The real life Jay Landsman is in that same scene as Lt Dennis Mello, who is talking to Gus Haynes, played by Clark Johnson who was also in Homicide. Now if The Wire's Jay Landsman, played by Delaney Williams, had also walkked into the scene, then there would be severe repercussions in the space time continuum

Are we just talking Munch, or Belzer? In the latter case, the list fails without a Scarface reference.

Belzer was always a riot on Homicide. Good for him, he was on the best police drama television show ever produced. He's a guy I can look up to when it comes to witty retorts and last words.

I think this is a "fictional world" TV crossover compliation, so, Munch..   I mean, from him as the Nexus, technically, you can link the "Seinfeld" world to "Walker Texas Ranger"s, for example.

1/10. Doesn't look like you watch much tv if you think Belzer's the most annoying character on it.

He was on a law and order franchise. Go back and watch some law and order. Damn near everyone with a SAG card has played a character on that show...

And you are completely missing the point here.... MPG hasn't played the same EXACT character (not "similar" guys) in 8-10 different shows... that is the point here.

The Lost->Veronica Mars connection is pretty lame. The same series of numbers exist in both universes? That's it?

2013-01-18 02:04:20 PM
In a perfect world, Richard Belzer would have Gilbert Gottfried's voice and would be herding sheep in Albania.

Honest Bender: He was on a law and order franchise. Go back and watch some law and order. Damn near everyone with a SAG card has played a character on that show...

I gather it was because the actors were already in NYC, probably for Broadway stints, and had some free time.

It's like anytime I watch a new Sci-Fi series that was filmed in Vancouver, about once an episode I say "hey, that guy was in Stargate".

Because the greatest L and O character ever died and he was supposed to anchor the entire show. Lenny Briscoe you were the man.
