Ruffin's family have stated that Otis Williams' version of events were sensationalized significantly, which doesn't surprise when one considers the entertainment industry.

Probably somewhere in between the two sides' versions. Ruffin had issues and that cannot be denied.

But man, that last scene from the mini-series where they sing My Girl fully decked out is brilliant.

For sure, fantastic voice. Pretty impressive that even after 30 years of kicking it with cocaine and booze that he could still sing that way.
