LDM90: Am I the only one who heard "Just stay away from drugs, you're better off" as a kid?

We all heard it. But many of us are destined to rebel. Long before Andrew Weil became the new age health guru, he authored a book based on the hypothesis that the drive to alter one's consciouness was as basic an instict as survival. (Cannot...remember....the...title....).

As I came of age in the late 70's, I more than dabbled in hallucinogins. Have no regrets, never had a bad trip & still think that the perspectives I gained were well worth it.

If you chose the drug free road, good for you. But, I think we should all be free to experiment (& let Darwin sort out the dumbasses).

This.

"Danger drug"?

If only those other people had been armed with 2CB, this might not have happened.

A good friend of mine with my same name has taken 2-cb on a few occasions. As one of the farkers on here said, it is a lot like Molly (Ecstasy for the older crowd before they started cutting it with speed, MDMA for the scientific crowd), except with a stronger psychoactive component. No real side effects, and the come down depends on how often you use, just like with MDMA, because it essentially produces a large serotonin dump. So, if you can imagine light LSD visuals with the warmth and sense of well-being that molly provides, you have a pretty good idea as to what 2-cb is all about. One of the few psychoactives that my good friend enjoys being around other people while using, likely due to the hemorrhaging serotonin that makes you feel connected and at peace with everything.

Unfortunately, this young girl probably had a bit of a freak out because either (1) the dosage was far too high for a first time user, (2) she was not experienced with the altered perception that comes with psychoactives, or the most likely option, (3) it was not 2-cb.

Our hypocritical drug culture in the U.S. still baffles me. We are the most heavily medicated country in the world, but we somehow take the hardest line on all recreational use. The number of actions, particularly criminal actions, taken while people are under the influence of alcohol will never be rivaled by any drug on the market today. 2-cb is nowhere near a danger drug, but because it has a funny name and hasn't been ingrained in our social culture for 1,000 years, the bible thumpers and tight-assed conservatives from middle America will continue to demonize it without knowing anything about it. This also means that my tax dollars will be spent locking up and feeding non-violent offenders rather than improving our crumbling infrastructure, building new schools, or paying teachers what they need to educate our population for the future.

Keep fighting the good fight.

2CB is a mild short acting hallucinogenic with few side effects and few negative interactions with other drugs. Tends to produce visual hallucinations, mildly disorders thoughts and asts about 3 to 4 hours. Don't snort it stings like a biatch and you'll be high like instantaneously. And if you do snort it, you need to do less.

What gets me about Journalists when they write about drugs in the papers. They're a bunch of lying shacks of sh*t. Because every Journalist does or did drugs at one point or another and knows better than that.

2C-B is in the 2C family of psychedelic phenethylamines. It is milder than L or boomers but more psychoactive than Molly, with a much easier come down. It also is less introspective, which alows for the user to be quite comfortable in social settings.

It's also dosage dependent in the milligram range. For first-time users, the difference between 12 mgs and 16 or 18 mgs is really noticeable - 12 being an average trip, 18 mgs where the visuals get stronger and effects last longer (up to 6 hours.) 30-40 mgs would most likely put you in a bad place if you aren't cautious.

That being said, in Europe it's not difficult to still get 2C-B in a pressed pill format... I have a handful of 16 mg tablets I acquired before the holidays that I'm saving for a rainy day. I can see her thinking they were beans, taking 2 and then her tripping to a place she wasn't expecting.

I would agree with you if it Darwin was only taking out the people doing the experimenting. When he takes out others because those dumbasses decide to operate a moving vehicle or "experiment" when they have kids who depend on them, I have a lot less sympathy.

Drugs like guns tend to exacerbate the abilities of the thoughtless from merely unfortunate to horribly tragic.

...someone right that down. Damn. I think I created some profundity up in here!

Every time I see articles on how bad a drug is, I keep wondering who it is they are trying to scare. There is certainly a segment of the population who would now avoid it knowing the effects, who may have taken it. I wonder how large that segment is compared to the segment who would never take it even if they didn't know what it was, or those who view this type of article as adverts on what drugs they should take.

Bumping a line of 2CB was like getting kicked in the face by a horse. Seriously. But, as the pain subsided, the trip began. I had a pretty good time, with mushroom-like visuals and warm fuzzy feelings that I was living in the best of all possible worlds. Looking at my friends, they were, in spite of their flaws, the best people they could possibly be. The best of their natures beamed at me like lanterns. The couch was the best couch it could possibly be. The coffee table was the best coffee table it could possibly be, etc., etc.

Psychedelic drugs aren't for everyone or every situation. Ingesting illicit and known-dangerous chemicals chemicals like the 2C family is probably a stupid risk to take. But if you're going to throw caution to the wind, try to relax and have a good time.
