Welcome to reality.

Nuc_E: Fat pig of a Camaro with more horsepower, or a lighter, better handling and braking Corvette that will beat its ass silly.

As we all know, the only thing of importance in regards to a vehciles performance is its power plant.

Well, yeah, of course. :-P

If you appreciate the Camero, Mustang, or Challenger, you might just be a redneck.

I dig the Cadenza (I've liked Kia's design motifs of the last 2 years) and the Furia, because the Furia shows Toyota can still design things that don't look like washing machines on wheels.

i am NOT a redneck, and i think the new challenger is a thing of beauty (and power if you get the srt), the camero is aggressive looking yet surprisingly elegant inside (especially considering its history as a low-income "muscle" car), and the mustang is also well-designed and has a very wide array of horsepower/performance options so pretty much anyone can find a 'stang to meet their desires

That's outstanding? The 1SS Camaro gets 423 hp stock for less than half that price. The ZL1 Camaro gets 580 hp from the factory for under $57K

Or maybe you're being sarcastic and I'm not familiar enough with Top Gear?

This. I'd own a Camaro over a Vette any day.

I really see little difference between the modern Camaro, Mustang or Challengers.

All of them are slabs with rounded edges that vary only slightly by the shape of the front end, and the
Mustang has a bit more of a humped back whale shape to the roof.

Other than that, they are indistinguishable in looks.

Give me a '65 Mustang Fastback any day:  best looking car ever made:

The Challenger might not be able to hang with the other two in some ways, but IMO it's by far the best looking of the bunch and even the R/T has 375 hp. Of course, the 2015 Mustang might change the whole best looking thing.

if you cannot easily tell the challenger, camero, and mustang apart then you need an eye exam. i am perplexed, however, since you obviously CAN see, based on the fastback photo you posted. while i hardly consider that the BEST looking car ever made, it's definitely somewhere in my top 25

Have 2006 Charger and 2004 PT Cruiser GT. Chrysler will have to do a lot of work to ever convince me to buy one of their cars again. It's like they said "Suspension? Meh, just hand me some parts from that old Mechano set in the corner and let's call it a day".

around here it seems challengers are dominated by middle-aged white guys who aren't rich. chargers, on the other hand, do seem to be driven more by black guys.

i never quite understood the term "bee-mer", and especially not the spelling "bimmer", especially since "bmw" both rolls off the tongue somewhat smoothly and takes less time to write/type. i like to say "bee em vee" since i was stationed in germany and always heard the germans calling them that.

3 series and 6 series bmws are the stuck-up yuppies (middle-mgt), as a general rule. same with c-class, ml-class, etc mercedes benz. the upper-levels of bmw and mb tend to be much friendlier folks with a lot of money. none of this, of course, is a set-in-stone rule, but tends to be the majority.

It's not that tough if you consider the value proposition.

$45K for a mid-to-large sedan with 429hp V8, 8-speed tranny, heated/cooled leather, nav, 7.1 surround, backup camera, front/rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, adaptive xenon headlights, good resale value, good reliability, and a pretty kick ass warranty? I don't think that's such a stretch, considering a similarly spec'd 300C is north of $48K.

And then there's this:

dumbimages.net

The A6 is the only car in that list whose lowest average paid price falls inside the average range of a the Genesis. The rest have a lowest average paid outside the price range of the Genesis. That A6 is the base A6, with a 2.0T 4-cylinder and virtually none of the features listed above. Oh, and the base 2013 A6 MSRP starts at $42K (still missing the options).

If only the automobile manufacturers would go back to producing a car that was affordable,
that pretty much anyone could afford, instead of 60,000+ SUV's or crossover vehicles that
the stupid "keep up with the Jones's" buy all the time.
