Uchiha_Cycliste: Scaevola: Uchiha_Cycliste: skinink: "There is an evil invading our world and it has come to our church," said Maria Spencer-Fonseca..."

I guess she doesn't know her Bible, since evil has been in our world since Eve ate the apple then temped Adam to do the same.

Technically Eve did nothing wrong, God never told her not to eat the apple. The shiat hit the fan when Adam ate it.

It's not even an apple. The Hebrew just has fruit: פרי. It was medieval Christians who said it was an apple, because in Latin, the word "malum" means both "apple" and "evil."

The more you know...

You've won this round of trivial pedantry, but I'll be back! BUAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAhhahaha!

The sad part is that this kind of caca is how I earn my living.

Hey! That's the class that I learned about Eve in! And about how all those Jewish words in the Old testament have very specific meanings, it was a GREAT class. The Professor, however, (or junior professor) was a real piece of shiat. Our final grade was 50% a final paper. We had to turn it in my a certain time by sliding it under his door. Turns out he took all the papers, failed the whole class and fled to Israel to live with his boyfriend. Anyways, I was supposed to have an extension on the paper that he revoked the day before it was due. As I didn't trust the, and was incensed at having to research and write a 14 page essay on the property and inheritance rights of Women in ancient Israel, while NOT using the Bible as a source. When I turned in the paper, I also made a copy and turned it into the dean along with a letter of complaint. At the end of the day, because I was the only one who was able to prove that I did the final paper, and turned it in on time. I was able to change my grade to an A, while the rest of the class had to settle for pretending the semester had never happened.

This story is 100% true. =/

I'm just wondering: If your work uniform consists of a fabulously ornamental gown embroidered with wild color and accessories that would make RuPaul envious, you perform daily on a stage-like structure, accompanied by two young men wearing lacy shawls over their black linen robes who ring bells, burn incense, and fetch wine for you, in front of a statue of a nearly-naked guy, why the hell do you crossdress? To stay in touch with your manhood?

/gonna be puzzled by that one all night.

You see, you need the tight binding material covering your body so that the Jesus Butt plug you inserted stays in place. You simply can't afford to have that pop out at an incontinent time.

How about meth is now a sacrament.

Let there be light. And use that light to take the bulb out of His Ikea lamp and thou shalt use it to get high and stare out of thine peephole for hours should authority suspect.

No worries. Two decades in this gig, and crazy behavior by academics doesn't surprise me anymore. It's a shame that people have to pick up the pieces when that kind of crap goes down. I've seen similar things.

Scaevola: Duck_of_Doom: Scaevola: I doubt it. These days, bishops only give a shiat if things go public. The whole damn system is rotten right through.

Absolutely. Even then, it's victim blaming and "why did you make it public" bs. Fark Bishop Lori, he's a tool.

Of course, Lori got promoted, and will be a cardinal in the next 2-3 years. He's also been the lead pants-shiatter from the bishops about how Obamacare is violating Catholic religious freedom. This entire generation of bishops is nothing but asshats who got promoted by kissing Roman behind.

And then when church attendance starts to decline in first world countries, instead of asking themselves why and doing something to address it, they instead do everything in their power to prevent people in developing countries from having access to birth control so that there's more impoverished, uneducated people to help fill their coffers to make up the gap.

Love how he had a porn shop in North Haven. That's the least disturbing part of the whole article.

Regarding his cross-dressing and entertaining men: Diocese officials consulted lawyers about the situation and were assured none of Wallin's behavior appeared illegal. While it may be legal, that probably goes against a few vows he took, and should have earned him a stern talking-to by the bishop.

Perhaps the bishop should bend him over his knee as an act of corporal mercy and justice.

That is Mother Superior's job.

Meth priest? Sounds like something I'll involve in my next Shadowrun game.

2013-01-18 07:45:44 AM
In his post-priesthood, Wallin, 61, bought an adult specialty and video store in North Haven called Land of Oz that sells sex toys and X-rated DVDs....

and who enjoyed Broadway musicals and show tunes. He often attended musicals with his mentor, former N.Y. Cardinal Edward Egan and parishioners.

I'm sensing a trend here letme see. Oz means friend of Dorothy, musicals chock full of gay overtones but dating another priest and taking him to a musical really kind of nails it, excuse the single entendre, for us.
