I'm better off.  I got a raise, a promotion and I'm debt free.  I'll be worse off if the Republicans get their way, but that's a different story.

2013-01-18 12:16:46 AM
Of course you could just chalk that up to Republican obstructionism and the lingering Bush economic catastrophe.

2013-01-18 12:29:57 AM
The difference between 4 years ago and now: 4 years ago those numbers were slightly higher, and heading downwards, now, those numbers are slightly lower, and heading upwards.

/derivatives, how do they work?

Funny considering that there notably less government jobs today than in 2008.

I became a boss, I reelected my President, and I discovered my love for Anthony Bourdain.

2012 was a pretty damn good year.

Everything from "massive voter fraud" getting Obama re-elected being roundly agreed upon before a link to a suckeh website splaining how Hagel was totes in on the scam to "Comrade Obama" to "and they wonder why we're not giving up our weapons. My question is who will do the shooting?".

Quite a brain trust you got going on there, Blaze.

Truly dizzying.

Pretty much always. Canadians and Mexicans don't want to be known as "Americans", especially when they're traveling abroad in the Middle East.

Actually we're doing much better now than we were in January 2009 when we were losing hundreds of thousands of jobs per month and the Dow was tanking.

Anyone who actually does believe we're worse off now than we were in 2009 is a goddamn idiot.

It's the common parlance in pretty much... everywhere, actually. Mexicans and Canadians who complain about it typically have eyes rolled at them, as is the custom when someone tries to pull that kind of pedantic bullshiat.

The problem with website comments is that anyone can contribute. My favorite professor at university could attach a mind-bogglingly thoughtful idea to the web just as soon as an insane man might plop his jibber-jabber to the same. To my discredit, I am inclined to avoid these words regardless of their purpose to the extent that I am able.

Does anyone know anything about teenage girls who were murdered in 1990 and were still dead four years later? He still refuses to talk about it.

From the Wikipedia: "TheBlaze is a news and opinion website and television network owned by American media personality and former CNN Headline News and Fox News host Glenn Beck's Mercury Radio Arts."

I took one look at it and I found myself sick to my stomach. It is just awful.

Halfway through the term of Bush the Younger we made $138k for 2004 . At the same point of Obama we grossed $294k for 2011, so yeah we're better.

Aside from personal use I concur.

/Obscure?

I have a really bad habit of wading out in the morass of fetid prose and regurgitated, ludicrously mangled talking points that comprises the RW derposphere on a regular basis.

Sure ya feel like you've spend all day in a radioactive sewer by the end of it and feel a deep need for a Silkwood style decontamination session when it's over and sure, reading too much derp for too long without a reality break can cause permanent brain damage but... wait where was I going with this?

Oh yeah. It feels really good when ya stop.

Imagine what we could have accomplished in the last four years without constant Republican obstructionism, a lowered credit rating, and attempts to recreate the policies that got us into this mess! Sometimes it's neat to think about this countries potential, and then it becomes a sad thought because we are so far from having a functioning government. =(

Now ask a teabagger to explain how this could possibly be since we were promised that the wealth will trickle down. Or alternatively if they claim that main street is still suffering after you point out that business seems to be doing just fine, agree then remark that they've just put a wooden stake through the heart of supply-side economics.

Either way, you basically get to make Robbie the Robot's brain seize up.
