$12 for formula?

You're talking $24 for half strength formula mixed with urinal scrapings and rat feces.

Still better than a Dodger Dog.

Well, it only takes one, but a village does increase the odds.

The mother said when the hormones kicked in, she went up to a larger cup size. But I checked, and it holds the same amount as before!

$12 is about the going rate for 16oz of ready-to-eat formula around here.

Largely attributed to the fact that only a small number of babies actually *need* ready-to-eat, on doctor's orders. (premies, mostly)
So buying ready-to-eat with any regularity means you either have no choice or have too much money to care.

$12 of the powdered stuff would be good for something in the neighborhood of 80-100oz.

2013-01-18 08:37:36 AM
At least the baby wasn't born near Mets Stadium. That would be a bad sign like being born with 666 on your forehead.

2013-01-18 08:43:10 AM
I imagine having anything to eat at a ballgame is rather like doing so at a movie- go to a decent steakhouse, get you and whoever's coming with you a 12-oz. ribeye, have dessert then go to the game and it'll still work out cheaper than the beer and hot dog.

2013-01-18 08:45:33 AM
Now, why would they subsidize the formula?

2013-01-18 09:22:51 AM
Here's how you get food at Yankee Stadium:

On your drive in, stop at the Foster Village Kosher Deli. Pick up a pastrami on club with extra mustard and a square knish for about $9. Don't buy a can of soda, Stadium security will not allow it in, and you'll just have to throw it out. You'll have to break down spend your $4 for a flat, warm bottle of Diet Coke with no cap (you see, it's the cap that's the security problem).

Just be warned, you'll have to spend the rest of the game dealing with the people seated around you asking "hey, where'd you get the sandwich?"

Although the disappointment in their faces when you answer "Bergenfield, New Jersey" is almost worth it.

2013-01-18 09:43:07 AM
I hope she has a speedy recovery and can get back to work to support those kids!

M. Looka: Here's how you get food at Yankee Stadium:

I would have gone with Rocky's Deli in Millwood, NY, but you've got the idea.

Or you could just go a few hours without eating. I know it seems difficult, but I swear people do it all the time.

Of course I have no problem buying 3-4 $10 beers, so I'm not really one to talk either. I guess I just never understood why people feel the need to eat ballpark food at steakhouse prices.

2013-01-18 10:13:18 AM
formula is way more expensive then that
