Huge props to this meteorologist.

Fowler Toyota owes this man a free lunch.

This is awesome.  I feel like one of our local weather guys pisses his pants if his tie is a bit crooked.  This is nice.

I'm officially impressed.

Yeah, that was nicely done but the other anchors didn't seem to be giving him enough credit/having some fun with it.

Yup, radar was awesome, but the Toyota ad was inspired. Also, the woman is lovely

Isn't this the same guy who did a "Road to Canada" travel forecast the morning after the election?

Yup. That got a nice little laugh from me.

When I was a kid all weathermen (there were no weatherwomen) drew forecasts and conditions with black magic markers on big paper maps of the country or state.

The next big technological advance was magnetic shapes of fronts, frowning storm clouds and smiley suns they stuck to big colored maps.

Not quite the same thing, but I give this guy a big thumbs up. He needs a raise.

Too fun! I like how he did the little faces at the end, too. I mentally added the "challenge accepted" guy

Thank god.. I remember the last time it was the teleprompters and well, that didn't turn out so good.

The answer would be "No". "Fox 23"'s traffic reporter, Jeff Brucculeri did the road to canada.
This one is "Tulsa 8", which is an ABC affiliate, the guy is Andrew Korak (1:58 at bottom of video has his info).

Absolutely beautiful. They are probably contractually obligated to put it on every 8 day forecast or pay a fine.

Yeah, we had a scraggly cat puppet as a weatherman back in the day. Link

And kudos to marker drawing guy--way to save the day!

Oh gosh, Al Kaprielian! I used to work on Mt. Washington, and he was the highlight of my night shift right before Emergency! came on. I loved Marty Engstrom, of course, because he worked next door in the WMTW transmitter, but he wasn't an actual weather guy. Al had that locked up.

I used to watch that guy from Massachusetts. We managed to get a few NH channels. He wasn't always as much fun as pictured in that video, but he was always weird as hell. Extremely geeky but entertaining, in an "Oh my God what's wrong with this guy" kind of way. Still, he's oddly likable.

That's it exactly. He's like a performance artist. Sometimes you don't get it and you just clap politely, and sometimes it's the most awesome thing you've ever seen.
