Rainbow Bridge

So many animals,
All shapes and sizes.
Travelling over.

Their bright lives streak the sky
 With wonder.

Every colour,
Banded together,
Each a sparkling life.

A rainbow has neither a beginning,
Nor an end.
It spans the sky,
Causing us to stand.
Be still.
Experience the splendor.

I have called out, "Oh look, a rainbow!"
Many walk on, a few search the sky,
Smile and carry on.
A rainbow lift to the soul.

I see blue, green, yellow eyes,
Copper so rare.
I feel them looking down
Know their joy.

Rainbows of blessings,
Shower my soul.

Sickapie: Fanx everyone.  The heating pad idea is a good one.  I hadn't thought of it.   I just wish I knew exactly what areas hurt her.  I hate to, but I could press gently on some areas on the back areas of her body.

She's resting in her doggie bed now.  I went in there to check on her and when she saw me, she wagged her tail and moved and was in so much pain she yelped.  Poor baby.  She's not leaving my sight.

Years ago I had a dog that was German Shepherd/SharPei. She had the length of a shepherd but the legs of a SharPei, she was long and short, as well as wrinkled with bird claw toes instead of regular dog feet. Because of her length she was always throwing her back out. In the beginning the Vet gave us pain pills and muscle relaxants and showed me how to massage her back, with strict instructions of no climbing on the couch or bed in case she hurt herself jumping off. So I grabbed my sleeping bag and camp out in the living room to keep her from jumping on the bed until her back was better. A couple of nights later I woke up to her sleeping in the recliner. After that we just went with the pills and massage and that seemed to work for 12 years

Years ago I had problems with "contact dermatitis" from fiberglass at work, poison oak etc. The itching drove me nuts so my doctor recommended this stuff: Link (opens in a new tab). Or you can cook up some oatmeal, let it cool enough so it won't burn you and smear it on. Rinse with cool water, pat dry. No telling what was on those plastic xmas trees.

No, but Kay points out that at least one of those cans contains chicken hearts, which is his favoritest food in the whole world.

Kay is well aware that I control the dot. He's seen the light in my hand. He knows it's a game, and he doesn't care. It's still fantastic fun to try to chase it up the wall.

Nah, here's one with some stuff that can be used for scale. The really scary thing is that she's the same size Kay was when I got him.
