i vote for bacon wrapped asparagus with hollandaise.

Oooohhhh - that sounds so good. I love asparagus. I love hollandaise, too, and so does my family (it's how I convinced my son to eat more kinds of vegetables). I've made it so many times I don't even need to look at a recipe any more!

I started the day off cleaning poopy up when the laxatone worked with kitty kitty as he was trying to get impacted again. Done with that. Then I was supposed to go to school and take a chapter test that had to be done by.... you guessed it ! TODAY! Well, the school closed because of snow.... dammit! And then to add to it all I just cut the tip of Carls' ear off changing his bandages! He put his ear right in to the scissors!! OMG I'm about to cry!!! I had his face in my hand!!

I love when I browse thru and I see 3 of my kids show up.

Was an interesting day.....I was on a conference call when my cell phone started meowing (sound it makes when I get a text). Text was from one of the participants who was going to be late. The others on the call asked 'are you at home, was that one of your cats'. I explained that my phone meows when I get a text and howls when I get a phone call...at that point my phone meows again and I hear laughter. I think they may like me.

Yesterday, I had the supreme honor of being able to offer comfort to a grieving Middle Schooler. Thank goodness her friends had her back, and thought to bring her sorrows to me..designated adult..and strangley enough, subbing for someone else. Soo glad I could be there, to offer a shoulder to weep on. She was so shocked that her Uncle could die at 54.. Sudden heart attck...while playing racket ball. Literally dropped dead. Jeebus! Poor kid, hope I helped. Dunno if I did. Dusty..

syzygy whizz: Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: B4 family back again. had to make an unexpected trip up to Ohio for a while to take care of a situation up there with my dad. Happy now that he's doing well, and happy to be home again. Kinda hard being up there and by myself, but everything now seems to be going quietly. We're actually getting snow right now, which is really strange to see here in the heart of Virginia, but nice to see nonetheless. Kittehs, ferrets, turtle, and lizards are all doing well and the kittehs are rambunctious as all get out this evening. Hope everyone is doing well and I'll get a few more pics up here soon.

It could still come in handy. He hasn't pooped yet. I'm pretty sure the pain meds have something to do with that.
Going to check in with the vet tomorrow if we don't get any 'presents' by morning.

You're right about pain meds slowing down the digestive tract. Can't speak for cats, not being a vet...but as a human that's something you want to get on RIGHT AWAY. The longer the...er...'stuff marked for disposal' sits up there, the harder and drier it gets...and harder to get rid of.
Think of it as giving birth to spiked bricks...

Neighbor's poor slut kitty is in heat AGAIN and so this huge long-haired tuxedo beast of destruction is coming around and beating up MY cats. I've dropped over $100 at the vet in the last week dealing with some nasty abcesses. Riktor and D'Artagnan have matching head wounds thanks to this monster.
I've told the neighbors that I will spring for getting poor Abbey fixed, but they just never seem to get around to getting hold of her while she's not pregnant or nursing.
They complain that all she's interested in is getting knocked up and she's not a very nice cat (insert eyeroll here)...GET HER SPAYED, DAMN IT!
She'll probably thank you and she'll be a completely different cat when not ruled by 'MUST REPRODUCE!' hormones.

Thanks for letting me vent...going to go speak to the neighbors...AGAIN...today.

We have a place here named PAL ( Prevent A Litter) they will give you a big break on the cost if it,s a stray.. catch the cat in question, get her fixed.. keep her cooped up a couple of days for the stitches to heal.. release her... done deal.. screw what the 'neighbors 'think.. and you can get it done while she,s in heat.. found that out last week.....

Actually will be wearing a dress with a double skirt..as I am older..read 49.. i am going to be a matronly singer in the tavern..I will still be weaing a corset..no one went without stays in that era!

Jeez! It's taken me forever to catch up!! Came home early...face is still on fire! Got some antihistamine at the drug store. Came home and took 2...washed face and put on benadryl cream. Will apply cortisone before bed, and take moar drugs! Plus...you know, BEER! Always have to self-medicate!! :D
