It's tracking at 21% on Rotten Tomatoes. There's a reason why movies with big names are dumped in January and it isn't because it's an awesome movie.

Ebert likes him. And according to Fark, Ebert is a genius, so therefore you must be wrong.

Course he's respectable. he's old. Movie critics, ugly buildings, and whores all get respectable if they last long enough

Thought this movie looked bad. Mark Wahlberg as the likeable protagonist who normally wouldn't hurt a fly but is wronged and solves his problems with violence? ... Thats branching out for him.

I like retarded fun movies sometimes. I'll probably Netflix it in 2018.

Nothing against Richard Roeper, but Siskel was irreplaceable. Nobody could get Roger's goat like Gene.

Allegedly true story; Roger and Gene were taking a flight together but seated in separate parts of the plane. Gene wrote a note claiming to be from the pilot inviting Roger to visit the cockpit. He then had a stewardess pass it along. Roger bit and walked into the cockpit, and then got chewed out by the pilot. As Roger walked, red faced, back to his seat, he passed by Gene who was laughing his ass off.

Saw an advanced screening 2 days ago. Was pretty good, but Roeper's right, it is incredibly formulaic. The only truly surprising twists were who was sleeping with whom. I agree the girlfriend side plot was distracting and useless.

it just shows the ego Roger has that he would actually believe a pilot would want to talk with in his cockpit.
He really took it on the chin that time.

I *howled* when I saw that.

I'm halfway sorry that they didn't use that as the actual tagline.

I went to the same advanced screening but in Baltimore. I did like the dialogue but the story was kinda lame. I was hoping it would be more epic.

Don't forget about the Last Stand and Mama. Why didn't Ebert review The Last Stand???? Arghhhhhhh.

He didn't review The Hobbit either. He was hospitalized recently with a hip fracture.

Yes, I know Ebert had a hip fracture, but I still really wish he found some way to review at least the mainstream movies that come out each week. Catch up on Hobbit, This is 40, Jack Reacher, Guilt Trip, and Le Miz before you review all those art house movies that only play in NYC and LA.

And A Haunted House. The butt rape scene was sooooo funny

Wahlberg does Crowe doggy-style?

/even that's not original if you've seen Sexy Beast.

I love Roeper. I'm subscribed to ReelzChannel on YouTube just for his reviews.

I wanted Gangster Squad to be good and the reviews, etc. are giving me a sad :(

Also I am kind of hoping that Stallone's movie is passable.

And at one point in my life I made a vow to see all of Jason Statham's movies so Parker better be good. Whatever they did to JLO I didn't even recognize her when she was stripping down to that hot, hot nubile 40 something year old body. Seriously, I was impressed.
