The music started, I smiled and burst into tears. I must be hormonal.

Good video...and some of those SPCA gals were pretty hot!

Great video!

Is it me, or was there a really high person : animal ratio there? I know most would be volunteers, but still. Maybe they could help more animals if they didn't have so much staff!

So much better than the Debbie Downer commercials on the air.

2013-01-17 02:42:16 PM
OK, way dusty in here.

people lip-synching while walking backwards with kitties.

oh, and the witch on the skateboard scared me and my cat.

2013-01-17 02:52:53 PM
Other than the fact it crashed my computer, who can resist a kitty/abba mash up?!

2013-01-17 02:56:11 PM
OK, now I watched it.

Too many cats, blerg. But it was a good video!

You couldn't make that video in the Pittsburgh shelters though because you can't really dance with all those adult pitbulls and rottweilers. Because that's ALL that's in our shelters.

2013-01-17 03:09:59 PM
Good farking god does ABBA suck ass ...

however, not that video...

2013-01-17 03:17:51 PM
Not a very diverse crowd.

I sense racism at the SPCA...

2013-01-17 03:19:25 PM
If you say ABBA over and over again real fast it sounds like a yappy little dog.

And you just tried it too, didn't you.

2013-01-17 03:31:20 PM
But... but.. but.. Where's that Mclaughlin chick?

On second thought let's not go there, it is a silly place.

I loved the video, but do you think it would have really hit the nail on the head emotionally if they played the video exactly as is but instead of the end scene being what it was we then see one of the dogs that's being carried around so joyfully being lead into a room in the back, then the guy walks into frame holding a needle following the volunteer into the room then the door slaming shut with an ominous bang...then the music just stoping dramatically...
It would contrast the joy of the video so vividly...and really remind us that these cute puppies and kitties are not having a good time there, they need help or else the get put down...
I think that would have hurt the joy of the video, but made the message much more profound.

Well, maybe after they could cut to a scene of the people in the video enjoying a post-wrap celebratory dinner at the Mongolian BBQ next door to the SPCA. That might lighten the mood a little.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing.

I have three rescue cats already. On occasion I mistakenly go to PetSmart on the same day as "cat rescue day". I hate walking past all those kittens and knowing I can't help them (apartment limit is two, so I'm already pushing my luck).

Please adopt a cat or dog, people. I don't want to be evicted!

I like it.

What I don't like are people who have pets, and then those pets give birth to adorable little kittens and puppies.  Spay/Neuter your pets you selfish farks!

1) One of the few (and possibly the only) ABBA song(s) I like
2) LOTS of pretty girls!
3) It's not lip dub of 'Flagpole Sitter' on Vimeo with the hot brunette girl at the start but it's not bad.

What a shame. Lawyers from Sweden forced that SPCA group to pull the ABBA song from their youtube video. Not only is that downright douchee but they probably lost sales from pulling the tune. Probably the best exposure/advertising that band has gotten in a long time.

Yeah, I'm going to go out on a limb and say ABBA doesn't really care about selling songs at this point. They turned down $1 Billion to do a reunion tour, and one of them (Frida) is German nobility now.

Heh. No kidding.

I worked with a guy in radio (and he'd been at it a few years; wasn't a rookie) who had an index card in front of him that said "I'm (his on-air name)". Farking pathetic.
