The Advertising Standards Authority received a complaint that the ad was misleading as there was no way it was possible to get her figure by using the £75 cream.

What?!? *throws tube across the room*

Get her figure? Well Id just resort to the old standby rag soaked in chloroforam

Perhaps the company meant that to get her figure you need to use 75 pounds of the cream...

Seriously, that is misleading.  All you have to do is go to the advertisement and cut out the figure.  It's free.

Or as Paris1127 gave me the idea, buy enough to sculpt her.

The advertising watchdog has banned a campaign featuring Friends with Benefits star Mila Kunis, for misleading consumers into thinking they could get a "body to die for" like hers by using a body cream.

You can, however, get body cream by using a "body to die for" like hers.

There is a banner with Minni Driver (sic) that says "look visibly younger instantly" at the top of this page, so I am getting a kick.

Allright, allright....FINE! You caught us, OK? You can't get Mila's figure just by using this cream!

You also have to purchase the Mila Kunis Whey Protein Shake, available in Banana, Strawberry, and Mango flavors.

well, if i was interested in her figure, i would require a lot of photographic evidence of this so-called figure prior to making any decision of whether investing in such a goal were desirable.

No trolling here, if something as blatantly misleading as that ad manages to sell creams to naive and gullible women (or men) who believe the results are a reality, then I say, oh well.  If the buyer is easily duped, I say no harm was done by the company.  So, let the buyer beware.

People look different in grainy, hastily-snapped "candid" shots with no makeup and dumpy clothes than when they're dressed up fashionably, prepped with makeup and posed for professional photographers.

More on this astonishing new finding at 11.

The ad is as good as it gets, your picture is probably as bad as it gets. The day-to-day reality is probably in between.

Therefore: Angry. God.

Does anybody know what a Mila Kunis might look like?

2013-01-17 01:44:05 PM
Does the U.S. have a similar watchdog agency that could take this sort of action against a skin cream manufacturer? Or would the cream have to cause actual physical harm before a U.S. agency would do something?

it is myh opinion that she is overdressed in the ad and should remove some of the more restrictive clothing. Like that bra. Possibly those panties too.

If you follow anyone around 24/7 like these low-life paparazzi do, you're bound to get a bad picture sooner or later.

Precisely. If we are to judge the effectiveness of this skin cream, we must see as much of her skin as possible.

To be fair, it was easier to be duped back then without the common knowledge we have today. The problem now is the information is out there, but some people prefer to remain ignorant or they take their chances.

!

Maybe you're just a chubby-chaser, then.  NTTAWWT--fat girls need love too, as they say--but the fact is that most humans find Mila Kunis to be quite attractive.  But good for you, I guess, for embracing "alternative" standards of attractiveness!
