Could we make this mandatory for anyone that refuses to make their child support payments?

Contents Under Pressure: It's a reversible vasectomy. What's not to like about it?

If the procedure was free and available to all, we might finally be free of those ludicrous "spermjacking" postings on reddit.

I wonder if the Hobby Lobby guy will try to wriggle out of paying for this, too.

WickerNipple: I'm sure there are plenty of men who'd rather their women use serial abortions as birth control than even consider such a harmless thing.

It's easier than parallel abortions because you only need the one doctor.

/Jokes like that?

PrivateCaboose: It hurts occasionally, but I no longer cry on the bathroom floor for no reason.

What a coincidence!  I said exactly the same thing after I quit drinking tequila.

Dr Dreidel: DarthBart: meat0918: The snip is one of the best things I ever did.

//TMI, I know.

I called in sick on a Friday morning, had the snip done (via the no-scalpel method), held down the couch Saturday and part of Sunday, went back to work Monday. I think I took one Aleve because of the general tenderness. That was 8 years ago.

1. Does insurance cover it? What about for single people?
2. How bad is the "general tenderness"? When I sprained my knee, I was confined to a recliner for 3 days, only walking to the bathroom (which the doc said I shouldn't do, but I didn't have a cane handy), but it didn't hurt much when I was sitting still. Will my boys be achy - and if so, more or less so than after a, shall we say, "spirited weekend with the ladyfriend"?
3. How reversible/effective is it? I know vasectomies these days mostly are reversible, and that most of their partners don't end up pregnant (0% of men with vasectomies reported being pregnant after the procedure, too), but are we talking a The-Pill-esque 99+% effective?
4. How long would I be out of commission? Just those 2-3 days, or is there a "no farking until month 4" rule that no one talks about?

// remembering an ex's IUD's getting-to-know-you period, is there any hormonal imbalance to be expected?
// I'd guess not, since you're not farking with anything endocrine, production-wise

Feminist groups in the US have been lobbying to keep male birth control (pills/shots) off of the market in the US. I am dead serious. Evidently it oppresses woman for men to have the same reproductive options/rights as women.
