I told my mother three years ago that TBBT was a show that people who "knew" nerds liked, not a show that nerds like.  Why?  Because nerds are smart enough to realize it sucks.

The show sucks.  That you are defending it just serves as confirmation to me that people who like the show are idiots.  It's a pretty good litmus test to weed out the morons - smart people don't like that show.

Egoy3k: I've said it before on fark but snark all you want about BBT it's still more watchable than most other network shows. I've caught snippits of the other shows that are on TV when my wife watches them and I gotta say that they all seem pretty terrible.

A) They've been together on and off for a few seasons and it hasn't hurt the ratings at all.

B) Since they added the other two women the show doesn't center around any one couple.

C) Like the writers for Castle, they seem to know how to handle writing relationships so they aren't annoying.

If you want a current example of of show that does NOT know how to accomplish these things, I suggest you watch Bones.
