did someone say magnetic Poles?

2003-12-12 01:42:17 PM
However, there are no Zetans, we all share the same galactic purpose. The same way there is no Chinese, no Russian, no American, We're all one Earth. In this same way, throughout the universe we're all the same spiritual being.

[gets on knees]

Please God, have Emperor_Jay show up and turn this into the most entertaining thread ever.

Can't a Farker "refresh" without double posting?

Cheeze....sorry 'bout that.

Jeeeesus Christ you sonsabiatches are stupid. I thought everyone knew that the quantum spectra of hydrogen atoms in various magnetic fields have been calculated with the closed orbit theory, you dumb stupid shiats. uhhhhh...so I think the magnitude of the magnetic field decreases from 5.96 T to 0.56 T with a step of 0.6 T.

You braindead simpletons should at least know that schematically the closed orbits disappear with the decrease of the magnitude of the magnetic field when the corresponding finite resolution of experiment is fixed. Didn't they teach you this shiat in the second grade???????

So in laymens terms this would give us a good way to control the shape and the number of the closed orbits in the system, and thus to control where a peak should exist in the Fourier transformation of the quantum spectra. Holy shiat, what a bunch of retarded asswipes! Get back to watching your NASCAR and stuffing your piehole with chitlins'n'gravy dumbasses!!!

This magnet walks into a bar.....
And says ouch!

Don't refresh w/ your brouser, use the Fark provided refresh button at least the first time after posting.

2003-12-12 01:58:39 PM
Oh fer Christ's sake! Mods, what the Fark is up with this? What's going on? What has changed? Why is this happening?

I've been Farkin' for a while and I know I haven't had THAT much to drink yet.

2003-12-12 02:00:49 PM
So is human existance going to end in 2012, 3500, 4000, or what?? I mean, I gotta get the reservations out for the hall if I'm going to throw a biatchin' "end of the world" party!

"Umm, yeah... Knights of Colombus?? I need to book a party. Yeah. Uh-huh. 3500. No no. The year 3500. That's right. 1500 years. Thanks. Sure, I'll hold..."

Incidentally, the Planet Art Network folk pictured here do not in ANY WAY look like a cult...

2003-12-12 02:04:19 PM
So this magnetic monopole walks up to dipole, and says, "Got a moment?"

2003-12-12 02:05:22 PM
use the Fark provided refresh button... ummm...Maybe I have had THAT much to drink, where would one find the FARK refresh button?

2003-12-12 02:07:45 PM
"The Core" sucked.
werst. movie. EVAR.

2003-12-12 02:13:12 PM
I'm scared to refresh to try and discover the error of my multiple posting ways. I'm afraid I'll double/triple post. Don't intend to threadjack here but WTF is going on? Obviously I'm not a noobie but this hasn't happened before and something has changed. (?)

touchyournose:
if you believe that, you could kill yourself and speed up your transition to the stuff that happens after your dead.

the simple reality is that so long as we're on earth, and people only experience time linearly when they're talking to one another - it makes absolutely no difference what the 'reality' of the universe is.

play within the parameters of the game, or take your psychosis and go home.

You may track the magnetic field here

The first sensor is the one to watch, when it goes off the scale we have auroras.

So then, is it ironic that the above link has been implicated by conspiracy buffs to everything from pole reversal to having your socks fall down in your shoes?

Ten percent is not bad, but one or two more broadsides from good ol' 484 or 488 might have brought down our shields.

I am beginning to think it must be about the oil, specifically tanning oil. This is the sun's revenge against our development of SPF 100.

But then, I might be one of those who are put up against the ceiling when they repeal the law of gravity.

Way off topic, but we have a meteor shower due tomorrow night, this is to alert my fellow indiana residents who will want to get out the pans and such.

Banging them together brought back the moon last month, after all.

Jalapeno, at the top of the thread, next to "reverse comment order".

Anyway if this ever happens I designate it national opposite day.

Touchyournose:
You are saying some interesting thing and all, but what I really want to know is this...

Does this increase the odds I'll get to fark britney spears in zero g?

2003-12-12 02:34:25 PM
auroras all the frickin time. woohoo!

Areolas all the frickin time? I can get behind that.

This guy could fix it in 2 minutes!

I think you mean these guys. You really must. Because there's no way anyone could think that Paul McGann is anything but an asshat and that fox could even come close to doing the good doctor right.

2003-12-12 03:12:25 PM
So does that mean people are actually getting even fatter than we thought?

Sherman uber alles:Nice picture. Happy to hear someone else mention the Planet Art Network. However, as for a cult, i detect sarcasm and lemme just present a notion.

One, this is a belief taken out of the Maya, not just made up, altho the Dreamspell is not exactly Maya, it was developed from the main parts of their beliefs, just revised. (especially since most of their books were destroyed)

Two, A cult is a stupid term because people from the big religions assert they are not cults. However they are, a cult is a religious sect no matter what the size of their congregation. However, the PAN picture does portray the typical tinfoil hat group meeting I admit. But so does any kind of different culture.

Force McCocken:Ummm, no. Killing myself is kind of counter productive, especially since we all have a purpose and suicide is not it.

Furthermore, changing your calendar allows you to help enact the advent of the noosphere through your mental ordering of synchronicity. Thus, it does matter as our thoughts, intentions, perceptions, and feelings have a manifestation in the physical world.

Universal telepathy precipitates atomic structure, atomic structure resonates telepathically.

And not everyone on Earth has to experience time linearly and incorrectly. That's what the whole movement is about. A brighter future is now.

Holy Carp!

Somebody got away with saying Ironic or Irony without some farker saying it wasn't Ironic!!

There has to be a Tesla joke in here somewhere...

Touchyournose. Time is linear? Why? Because of something called Entropy. I can't claim to know it through and through, but look it up. Its very interesting. Also Time is not a 'man made conception.' Its as real as a demention as height/width/lenght. If you calculate the area of a planet going 9/10ths the speed of light vs. 1/10th its going to have two different areas (obviously this can't be true). However if you involve time into the calculation it produces the same area.

Time is not forever. Mysticism has never once replaced science and stood the test of time. Which isn't linear.

Oh flux.

How long before some tree-hugger blames it on man?
I didn't read the whole thread...maybe they already did.

2003-12-12 04:03:11 PM
I was driving on the freeway in the fast lane
With a rabid wolverine in my underwear
When suddenly a guy behind me in the back seat
Popped right up and cupped his hands across my eyes

I guessed, "Is it Uncle Frank or Cousin Louie?"
"Is it Bob or Joe or Walter?"
"Could it be Bill or Jim or Ed or Bernie or Steve?"
I probably would have kept on guessing
But about that time we crashed into the truck

And as I'm laying bleeding there on the asphalt
Finally I recognize the face of my hibachi dealer
Who takes off his prosthetic lips and tells me

Everything you know is wrong
Black is white, up is down and short is long
And everything you thought was just so
Important doesn't matter

Everything you know is wrong
Just forget the words and sing along
All you need to understand is
Everything you know is wrong

I was walkin' to the kitchen for some Golden Grahams
When I accidentally stepped into an alternate dimension
And soon I was abducted by some aliens from space
Who kinda looked like Jamie Farr

They sucked out my internal organs
And they took some polaroids
And said I was a darn good sport
And as a way of saying thank you
They offered to transport me back to
Any point in history that I would care to go

And so I had them send me back to last Thursday night
So I could pay my phone bill on time
Just then the floating disembodied head of
Colonel Sanders started yelling

Everything you know is wrong
Black is white, up is down and short is long
And everything you thought was just so
Important doesn't matter

Everything you know is wrong
Just forget the words and sing along
All you need to understand is
Everything you know is wrong

I was just about to mail a letter to my evil twin
When I got a nasty papercut
And, well, to make a long story short
It got infected and I died

So now I'm up in heaven with St. Peter
By the pearly gates
And it's obvious he doesn't like
The Nehru jacket that I'm wearing
He tells me that they've got a dress code

Well, he lets me into heaven anyway
But I get the room next to the noisy ice machine
For all eternity
And every day he runs by screaming

Everything you know is wrong
Black is white, up is down and short is long
And everything you used to think was so important
Doesn't really matter anymore
Because the simple fact remains that

Everything you know is wrong
Just forget the words and sing along
All you need to understand is
Everything you know is wrong
Everything you know is wrong

toastandjamX, how about this guy then?

I hear he's amazing!

2003-12-12 05:36:26 PM
I'll be dead in far less than 1500 years. Hell, with what I consume and how little I exercise, I'll be dead in 10. And let's face it, that "child" thing ain't happening to me anytime soon.

2003-12-12 06:04:51 PM
Is this before or after the super-volcanoes, magnetic storms, global warming, mega-tsunamis, of giant space rocks destroy humanity? Or do they happen al at once for a cool "armageadon" effect?

2003-12-12 06:07:21 PM
Takayama:I know about entropy. all system breaking down over time.

Lemme put it this way, what you think of as time, isn't time, it's duration.

And time is forever, time is infinite. look it up, Stephen Hawkings, yknow?

Also, just to make sure you aren't mistaking what im saying, im saying time is NOT linear.

I'm not saying time is man-made, of course not. I'm saying your perception of it is, as the clock has only been around since 1600, what do you think life was like before its inception. pretty damn different i bet.

The clock and the calendar with its incorrect linear dates creates our 12:60 civlization. true time frequency is 13:20.

2003-12-12 06:43:19 PM
Dude, the north pole owes me 5 bucks, basterd.

Anyway, how does Dynamite Monkey feel about this?

2003-12-12 06:53:38 PM

Although I agree that The Core wasn't very good, is all of this font upsizing really necessary?

2003-12-12 06:57:40 PM
I hate it when my pole shifts.

2003-12-12 07:06:39 PM
Yes, it is. if ya wanna look like an asshat, anyway.

2003-12-12 07:08:52 PM
So maybe the ozone hole wasn't caused by CFCs after all! Maybe earth's fluctuating magnetic field is to blame.

/food for thought

2003-12-12 08:10:54 PM
I have seen some fairly plausible arguments that the ozone hole to CFC connection is questionable. It is also interesting that the need for new "ozone friendly" refrigerants happened as the patents for the orginal versions were expiring.

2003-12-12 08:38:11 PM
The same drop-outs who bash The Core for being unscientific (it wasn't), are the same ones who learn farking Klingon.

2003-12-12 10:50:58 PM
This might explain why I am not having this propensity of facing north as often as I used to.

2003-12-12 11:08:04 PM
A few have mentioned pole reversal would increase auroras, and I wonder if there is a chance they are wrong?

I know it seems one of the most likely events, but it must be speculation without measurable evidence.

Even the GEOfaq agreed, we just don't know. Maybe with a lesser mag field from earth, the suns mag field would slip around us with less contact?

2003-12-13 06:51:11 AM
The Core wasn't particularly unscientific (for Hollywood, 'nuff said)

It just sucked.
Character development? Whazzat?
Plot? glaringly obvious and handled in a blindingly unoriginal fashion.
Acting? From whom?

Straight to video in most markets? Too good for it.

Bye now.

2003-12-13 12:09:08 PM
"wasn't particularly unscientific"?? Yeah, unobtainium, x-ray radar and a super-laser. Not to mention 100 megaton bombs that weigh next to nothing... Hmmm yeah, very scientific.

2003-12-13 01:13:46 PM
thats it? just lose more ozone and a few satellites wont work? i'm more worried about greenhouse effects myself.
