The US has air superiority everywhere it goes. If it is a coalition aircraft and it is flying in US-controlled airspace, it either won't be flying for long or the US is letting it fly. Besides, most ships travel in groups that contain the full range of offense and defense.

We should be talking about the corbomite device it definitely has that makes it impervious to any attack and will utterly destroy the attacker.
