"Wasn't Barack Obama supposed to put an end to partisan bickering and finger pointing?," read a tweet from Doug Heye, a spokesman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

1)  Refuse to do anything, let alone cooperate, from day 1 of his administration.
2)  Get called out on it.
3)  Blame him for your own partisan obstruction.

There is no profit.

Obama and other top Democrats voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006 when President George W. Bush was in the White House, read a tweet from Brendan Buck, a spokesman for Speaker of the House John Boehner: "OBAMA VOTED AGAINST RAISING THE DEBT CEILING IN 2006 AND FOR DEFAULT (BY HIS REASONING)."

Pay attention, children:

The Senate vote was 52-48.  Before they vote, the Senate knows exactly how the vote will end.

48 votes against is well beyond what is needed to filibuster, but they did not.

How much did Democrats really oppose the debt limit being raised?

Oh, this guy

Seems legit.

so republicans - who have viciously opposed obama on everything, literally from day one - say that obama is to blame for the hyperpartisanship in DC?

In all fairness, Obama has been black from day one.

If there's ANYTHING the republicans are good at, it's projection. There are hundreds of examples. It's only natural they accuse Obama of the same.

If he wasn't so black and so President, they wouldn't have to oppose him!

I guess we need to get those FEMA Camps going. Reeducation certainly would put an end to partisan bickering and finger pointing. Plus, it would finally give the real nutbags something to be proud of - they called it!

And Republicans had no problem with it being raised back then.

On the bright side, this level of projection is getting into a whole new exciting realm of theoretical physics. How many dimensions of projection are we on now?

I get this all the time from my right wing friends.

Democrats are racist...

Democrats are the ones waging the war on women...

Democrats are the reason we're in debt...

Democrats are the ones trying to keep people poor and dependent on government because then they'll continue to vote Democrat.

Basically, the believe Republicans can do no wrong and Democrats can do no right by simple virtue of their chosen team identity. Kind of a "my team is better than your team...poopy head!"

Bah, 35MM film will always be superior to digital projection.

I love how he was adamantly against raising the debt ceiling in 2006 for the exact same reason that Republicans are against it now.

He's either got a bad memory or knows how ignorant the public is.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. ... Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership." - FartBongo 2006

And eventually digital will get as good if not better than film.

Even better is that the submitter did indeed out himself in the other thread a minute after your post here, and he wasn't even the one that gave it the Hero tag.
