Qoph. A "q"word that doesn't need a "u"!

I think it is a Hebrew letter or number or something.

C's are a pain because there are no two-letter words to hang another word from them. Same with V's.

Z's are a lot easier to use now that "ZA" was added to the Scrabble lexicon.

Qs aren't that hard to use in Scrabble. As long as Qi and Qat are considered words, they will get placed on double and triple letter/word spots all day long.

/Scrabble isn't about fancy words, it's about abusing the bonus squares
//Goa is a far superior game with far less spelling

C is an absolute biatch, probably the second worst letter after V. There is only 1 two letter word with C, ch. There are none with V.

If you are going to reduce the value of the letters then there should be more Zs and Xs.

Best way to get that pesky Q off your bar at the end of the game. There is almost always an open I, especially if it ends up on your bar (it usually does).

Is this just for the Brits? Don't they use s instead of z like in paralyse/paralize? Or something like that.

I go by the Snoop Dog dictionary, so I use a shizzle ton of zs my bizzles.

All I know is that in British Scrabble, 'u' should be worth, like, 1/2 a point.

we used to play multi-lingual scrabble, which required a uniform transliteration guide for the Greek and Cyrillic alphabets, and special accommodations for eth and ash. it was a little retarded, especially since it seemed like each person knew only one of the many different languages.

I had to look it up to believe it. Scrabble, you whore. You used to have values. You've let WWF turn you into everything you once hated.

Scrabble is only half about the score.
The other half is putting down weird words like aqueous or euouae and saying "fark you, vowels!"

This is somewhat related to a theory of mine:
A person whose name begins with Q or Z, or ends in a vowel sound, does not need a nickname.

I'm pretty sure "ch" is only a Words with Friends word. My 2nd opponent tried to play that in my elementary school tournament. It was fun to challenge.

If you'd keep your i's off the rack in the bikini you wouldn't get stuck.

Came here to say this. Any Scrabble player knows not to leave an "i" next to a double or triple letter score if the Q isn't accounted for. If they also have an "i" of their own they can get those 10 points counted twice, at 2x or 3x; you'll earn 60 points just for laying down a couple of letters (plus a couple bonus points for the vowels).

ZA is similarly bogus.

I dropped "qat" on the double word and counted it twice because it made "qi".  My girlfriend challenged me and lost her turn.  There was NOT a happy ending that evening.  Good thing I didn't do that with a triple word.  The fallout would have been painful.

She never beat me in that game, though her best was losing by only a single point.
