The thing is, Michael Dell is one of the main investors in all of this. It's his company and his legacy, and I don't think he'd be plowing money into it unless he sees value. There could be a giant Bain Capital style looting ahead but it's also possible that somebody is genuinely trying to right the ship. I hope so. I'd like to be able to respect them again.

First, Dell gives the money back to the shareholders. Then he shuts the company down.

We did as well. Purchased two R710's with 384gb of ram, and a 14tb Dell Equalogic for our storage needs. We even purchased a couple dell Force 10 switches just for good measure.

It makes me sad that people are so willing to accept lies. You've been duped.

Maybe they can spin Alienware back off on its own, so their systems won't be saddled by Dell's absurdities.

Extreme, but possible.

It's unlikely the company will ever be competitive again. Might as well get the value now.

Meh. My racks are full of Intel-badged servers. I don't personally want or need the stuff Dell is offering. I like that the big names exist and provide variety in their offerings and and pricing competition though.

If this means our company will get better equipment that makes it easier when it comes to image building. I'm all for it.

/fk dell and their 'every model has to have it's onwn driver package and you have to install bullshiat apps for crap that could probably just use a simple driver because fk you that's why' bullshiat

And the solution to Dell's problems is a leveraged buyout by a PE firm???

Good luck with that and enjoy the rape.
