Follow-up: they already pulled the article
Fark: we already did this.

It wasn't their first sponsored article, was it? I could have sworn I'd seen others before.

"They" = Atlantic, not the Scientologists.

9/11, fake?
Sandy Hook a hoax?

I can handle those, but people that actually believe in Scientology???

Ovbiously people planted by the government, there are no people that believe in Scientology.

Maybe they're planted Pleadians?

Well that's just the last straw then, if they're accepting sponsored stories. The Atlantic has been going downhill ever since Sullivan left and lately it's just dominated by Friedersdorf's endless civil libertarian whining. Guess I can permanently remove that site from the daily reading list.

Okay, is there anybody worth reading at the Atlantic outside of Ta-Nehisi Coates?

The Atlantic has been overrun by a strange and almost certainly evil sect, calling themselves The Movementarians. In exchange for your home and all your belongings, the Leader of this way out... and wrong religion, the Leader claims he'll take believeres to the planet, Blisstonia. Excuse my editorial laugh.

[laughs]
But

Ladies and gentlemen, I just learned of a new change in management. Welcome, Movementarians. I love you, perfect Leader... and new CEO of The Atlantic

Scientolology is like a SyFy version of the Mafia.

That's actually a very good comparison.

Almost never. Ta-Nehisi should go Sullivan.

We had a thread last week about paid Internet shills. I was told that it was a crazy conspiracy theory that any group would do that. A pr firm would never utilize free forum logins to shape public opinion.

The main person saying that didn't really believe it, he's just a whore.

... most people didn't say that even though the linked blog was dubious at best. Come on.

I think the issue is more when people say that EVERYONE is a paid shrill if they disagree with them. Remember, some of them might just be trolls or retarded.

It was at least three to one, and the people who thought there were paid shills were kinda couching their language about it so as to not look like loons.

For sure, I think the vast majority of our recurrent trolls are just angry losers who like to piss people off. But, if I, or any other regular Farker ever ran a pr or political campaign, the first thing we'd do is hire a bunch of shills to shape online opinion.

Thought it was pretty lame that a mod was going to town bashing people who thought paid shills overran certain sites, especially near election time.

Yeah, remember that thread. I think he was mainly over reacting at some peoples claims that EVERYONE was a paid shrill by claiming that NO ONE was a paid shrill.

If anything, most of our trolls are paid Democratic trolls trying to make the Republicans look bad. Because as retarded as the Republicans can be at times, I can't honestly believe they'd PAY people to make them look bad. I'd hope.

Does anyone else think that the pictures look photoshopped? And the balloons, smoke, confetti...
