Not happening.  Everyone knows why LeBron left for Miami, and Cleveland won't have room for two max contracts.  There's no guarantee Mario Chalmers would want to play for Cleveland, anyway.

If you believe that, I've got two towers to sell you.

This seems an appropriate image of LeBron to use with the article's headline.

Obviously, this.

I just don't see this happening.

all you Cleveland haters are heartless. This city is starving for a championship, sadly, I don't see anything on the horizon.

The Indians will tease us this year and melt faster than an ice cube in July. The browns are set back every couple of years by coaching changes.

The cavs have a nice young group of players. How can you know what James will do in a year and a half? Is it not possible that he might want to return? Nothing surprises me anymore and it would be a nice feel-good story for him to return.

One can hope anyway

As a Clevelander, I'd rather the Cavs never win another game than see that asshat come back.

That seems to be a fairly accurate representation of the franchise's mission statement.

Why would Lebron go play for a team with an owner that views him like a runaway slave and for a crowd that hates him more than anything in the world? Why would Cleveland take him back after the decision if the city even have a shred of self-respect?

This is how I would feel if I had a dog in the fight. Not a LeBron or Cleveland hater, but I know a burned bridge when I see one.

Luke Walton is still in the league?

Or is it just his contract?

I grew up in Cleveland. I used to have hope, I used to endure the massive cocktease that was the Indians in the mid-90's, I used to go to Cavs games and think that Mark Price, Daugherty, and Williams had what it took to finally take it all. I was around for The Drive, The Shot, and Jose Mesa's epic breakdown. Still, through all these, I had hope. Then we got the Browns relocation, Rudd's helmet, the Indians' fire-sale, and the coup-de-grace, the LeBron show and The Decision.

Deep down, there's a small part of me that wishes that Cleveland does well. However, there's a much bigger part of me that's tired of the constant national embarrassment. It's even worse than the Cubs, the Cubs at least have a baseline of failure, and don't have the massive spikes of embarrassment like Cleveland does. I just can't get behind them anymore.

Well, in fairness, maybe LeBron just needed to go somewhere to learn how to win. Lord knows he wasn't going to find anyone that knew how to do it in Cleveland. Now he can bring that knowledge back to Cleveland and bestow it upon them.

Its so funny... the people who criticize Cleveland fans for their behavior are exhibiting the exact same behavior now that the tables are reversed.... He's going back... deal with it... Irving is already better than Wade, and Tristan Thompson could put up a double double every game to match what Bosh does.

So this article is written purely from speculation and innuendo of a beat writer? So it has around the same validity as say fan fiction?

Also, add another lottery pick (hopefully Tyler Zellers brother), and the potential of either Zeller or Waiters turning into solid players. I personally hate Waiters, but everyone around the league compares him to D-Wade. I still don't see it, but i guess its there. With that young core, tons of cap space to bring back LBJ, another big ticket free agent, and a few veterans, The Cavs future is looking brighter then it was 10 minuets ago. I am from Cleveland, lived through all the embarrassment, personally spewed vitriol his way, and would still welcome him back with open arms. Could you imagine LBJ working in an offense where he doesn't have to be a PG? Scary.

Or go from a warm-weather state where he pays no income tax to northern Ohio and both a state and county/city income tax.

Lebron will come back, and bring a championship to Cleveland. Irving/Varejao/Thompson/Waiters, and whoever they draft in next year's lotto, will be up to the task. Then, the guilt will be assuaged, and Lebron will be considered the greatest athlete of his time. The end.

You're assuming he feels guilt to begin with, and that's a awfully big assumption to make.
