I'd pay good money if they'd make decent adaptions of 2061 and 3001.

I want to see someone make a movie of The Lost Worlds of 2001.

/That would be awesome.

Neat. Point goes to you.

Although, it is interesting to note that it only got to American TV for about six months in 1986. No wonder I never heard of it.

I would give a lot to see the Odyssey made into a movie properly, as per the source material.

I would also watch a good space version (though god knows its been the base story for enough things)

I also want to cockpunch the author for 'The Odyssey is Homer's followup to The Illiad'

Homer in space?

That sounds as stupid as Xenophon's Anabasis set to modern times with NYC comic book gangs.

Imma let you finish, but Saber Rider has the best 80s sci-fi cartoon intros.

I've read The Odyssey, it's really boring. The "good stuff" is just a couple of pages out of the whole thing.

Yeah I'm guessing "and then once again they sailed around the Mediterranean for a few more years like utter idiots" isn't as cool as "Holy shiat, it's a man-eating cyclops!" Come on, Homer. Edit.

Ironically I quite like Joyce's "Ulysses", which I realize most people find boring, if not incomprehensible.

So the main character travels around and has practically unrelated misadventures on various planets in an attempt to return home...Isn't that the premise of Star Trek Voyager?

Obscure?

Cartoons with an awesome combination lasergun/laserswords are never obscure, especially if you were eight years old in 1986.
