KingsleyZisou: kronicfeld: homelessdude: anything worth watching

There's a ton that's worth watching on Netflix. Unless you're unemployed or a college student, there should be more than enough content to keep you entertained.

I'm neither and was seriously considering canceling my sub just yesterday. Then I saw they added west wing. Between that and this announcement I'll stick around for a while.

/a ton worth watching but not much from this millennium

I am having that issue. If it were not for shows like Doctor Who, which sadly I do not get BBCA or I can not find that channel, and them every once in a blue moon showing me a movie / show I actually like, last one I spotted was Clue. I might of unsubbed myself.

Though I have found myself going through a Gojera marathon lately.

I guess it depends on your tastes. I gave the re-vamped NF about 6 months and bagged it....again. I found that just about anything on NF I can find elsewhere and for free. Not everything, of course, but enough to keep me entertained to the point that I wonder why I am spending so much time watching TV in the first place. (shrug)

Im happy with Robot Chicken. I want the Brack Show, Space Ghost, Sea Lab 2021, and the other old and original Adult Swim stuff as well as some of the Cartoon network shows like Samurai Jack, Dextor's Laboratory, Johny Bravo and other Friday night cartoons back when Cartoon Cartoon was going on.

I was not thinking of the Animes they ran. Though I would love to see that come to pass too. I need more Gundam, Big O, and others, I cant remember if they were on Adult Swim or Toonami, on Netflix.

Seriously, people like you exist? The documentarys, foreign films, concert films, MST3K, PBS Frontlines, TV Shows (Louis CK, Walking Dead, Mad Men), backlogged in my queue are more than I'll have time to watch in the decade. What the fark do people watch that isn't on Netflix, and how the fark much time do people have to sit in front of a screen all day?

I'm sure Netflix paid for their entire licensed content. The article just mentioned a few examples to contain the word count.

If you're going to steal shiat, then no, Netflix can't compete with that price point or selection.

Genius.

I've never had cable, and only recently bought Netflix for guests. I've found it ok. Mostly useless to me (my veg time is games or reading) but its for guests. And it's 8$ a month. I skip lunch one day and pay for it. No big deal.

It's the freshness of the content. If all you're watching is netflix and maybe a game or two of sportsball, then netflix really doesn't have enough content to keep you going longterm before you end up pretty far out on the deep end of crap tv. When I watch it, I tend to marathon stuff - I made it through an entire season of mythbusters over the last week, and that's not really that much TV time. When you're looking at between 12-48 episodes per show that's available, you're talking about blowing through a whole show every month or so. I don't know about you, but there aren't a dozen new shows added to netflix every year that I want to watch. So once I've caught up on the backlog of stuff that I've always wanted to see, they're going to have a hard time keeping new content on tap for me to watch more stuff.

pretty much this. i love netflix streaming but I can only watch season one of Bob's Burger's so many times. They really need to get a new content delivery system in place.... when I scroll thru the new releases and it is the same new releases that have been in that section for 2\3 months.... that stuff ain't new, guys. Not to mention that so much of the actual streaming movies are like walking around a deserted blockbuster - just rows and rows of crap no one wants to see.

it has a low laugh per minute ratio. not saying it SUCKS. It just isn't funny, and it really needs to be, being an adult animated show.

I have watched like 4, maybe 5 complete episodes. Laughed maybe twice. I figure I gave it shot.

Compare it to say, Bob's Burgers, a show that generally keeps me laughing the entire 22 minutes that it is on PLUS the credits at the end usually have something hilarious going on.

And that China, IL garbage? MAKE. IT. STOP.
