If sentenced he will go to jail, go directly to jail.

Wow, a  model citizen and all-around great human being like Milton Bradley being charged with a violent act?!?  Now there's a shock!

He may look innocent, but to him life is just a game.

A man like Bradley has got a great big hole, right in the middle of him. He can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley

Weird that they name those two franchises for the peripatetic Bradley, rather than the ones where he was brought up (Montreal), had his longest tenure (Cleveland), had his best season (Texas) or had his most headline-filled season (Chicago-NL).

i remember him being a dodger myself, but looking at his career it seems he wore out his welcome quick regardless of all-star type talent

CLE 3 years
LAD SEA OAK MON 2 years
CHI SDP TEX 1 year

and wouldnt his best seasons be
07 SDP .313 .414 .590 168 (OPS+)
08 TEX .321 .436 .563 162 (OPS+)

/either way both redonkulous seasons

THAT'S your biggest problem with this headline? Not the total lack of board game puns? Come on, Chronic.... COME ON

His entire career just goes to show how fake MLB managers are when they talk about "character" and "team-building". That guy was known to be a 100% cancer on your clubhouse, guaranteed to commit flagrant offenses against the game, fans, managers and team-mates. But he was soooooo talented that everybody kept on hiring him anyway.

So, after a Knockout, he seems to be losing in The Game Of Life so he will need Perfection, or at least Stratego to avoid this Mousetrap, or see himself go Kerplunk and end up on Fortress Island where they play Pass The Pigs

The problem with Milton Bradley is that even if he were completely innocent of all charges, you'd still be inclined to think he's known for being such an asshole on the field and in the clubhouse.

I'm not a fan of Milton Bradley, but in all fairness, he is in the middle of a messy divorce.  I'll wait and see how this plays out before I call him a bigger douchebag than I already think he is based on his actions in baseball.

I would speculate that people get into the mindset "I can help fix him", but it's clear that this guy did not want to be fixed. Obviously, spousal abuse or abuse of any kind is detestable.

That being said, what a waste of potential. If he would have worked on getting his head right, he could have had a more storied career, and, even more important than that, been a better person.

When I see these kinds of things, I always wonder what kinds of personal demons are driving these behaviors. I mock things on this site with the best of them, but there's a sadness when people are so self-destructive. Maybe they can mandate that he go through mandatory treatment and see if he can turn his life around as well as serving some jail time. Prison isn't going to rehabilitate him.

No, but it will keep the rest of us away from the consequences of his shenanigans.

At first I thought 13 years seemed a bit much, but holy shiat that guys is farked in the head and it takes a real biatch to do that stuff to a woman (especially the mother of your children). Maybe if she banged someone else (or something more heinous) he would deserve less years but maybe it's time to get this nut case off the streets.

Let's just say, I wouldn't be surprised if the charges are true.  The dude has issues with his temper.  I just don't want to jump to conclusions considering the divorce.
