Nem Wan: B.L.Z. Bub: What did the Obama administration expect to accomplish with this retarded petition crap? Other than compiling a database of retards' names and emails, what good has it done?

Efficiency. I'd guess some people are diverted from emailing, writing, or calling the White House about topics for which there are petitions, thereby reducing the number of individual form responses to be sent.

Or let's twist the conversation around...what are some examples of petitions that the President COULD take action on without it getting undercut by Congress?

Bondith: Dingleberry Dickwad: Cthulhu_is_my_homeboy: Hey, even with its issues, SGU was still better than SG1 or Atlantis. Both those shows were campy bullshiat.

/Just wanted a Stargate series that was anything like the original film...

Yeah, sorry but no. SG-1 had just about the right mix of humor and drama. I'll admit it did get campier as it went on, but SG-1 was a solid series. SG-U was out right stupid in it's initial season and it hurt the show.

Was that tub of lard at the whizkid's front door in the pilot supposed to be O'Neill? If so, RDA's really let himself go.

Cheron: I'm starting to think that people aren't taking this whole White House petition thing seriously

As the OP/petition creator I feel I can verify that.

There's 4 signatures... I'm personally MEH on this.

Could we work on getting John Critchon home? Or seeing how Sunnydale is doing these days... is Buffy residing in Cleveland to deal with that Hellmouth now? What about the Sanctuary program - shouldn't we worry about all those aliens in habitats? Is Skylar still on the loose? Who will save the cheerleader? Who's going to take care of Walter and Billy now?

First Project Quantum Leap needs to get Doctor Beckett home, THEN we can worry about the Destiny.
