Ah yes, our glorious Celebrity Culture. Call the news and make a public announcement that you're running away. Brilliant.

Well, I'm sure it will all work out for her.

2013-01-14 09:52:41 AM
I would ask "what made her think this was a good idea", but she's clearly not the best at making rational decisions in the first place...

What is with this epidemic? I went through some pretty bad shiat with my ex when she hit 35, including having to intervene on behalf of her own 14 year old cousin (a girl). This was a seemingly normal woman for the 15 years we were married, then off the farking rails sexually, including kids. WTF? Is it media? Anti-depressants (ex was on Cymbalta after her BS started and she got worse). I mean, wtf is it? This isn't normal behavior.

It really seems like it has spiked in recent years, among the teachers in particular. I guess I could see where it may have always been there and the advent of instant social media has increased the rate at which these things are exposed as the victims take to myspace and FB to talk about it. Crazy women in their mid-30s is like the norm here in GA. I won't date divorced women in their 30s or 40s any more after several encounters with crazy. Has it always been the case that women his 35 and go insane?

This reminds me a bit of an old SVU episode, though the teacher was a lot hotter in it (funny how everyone is hotter on tv). Turns out she had some sort of brain tumor that basically rewired the part of her brain that makes sound decisions.

No it isn't normal behavior. From my own experience it sounds like her meds weren't mixing well or working. In cases like that it would be a good idea for the person to contact their doctor and a professional therapist ASAP.

I can't help but wonder what role media offerings do play in this "epidemic", if there even is one. My divorce attorney cited what he called "Ex and the City Syndrome" when discussing my case, claiming that this one show was responsible for doubling his business. He also told me it usually doesn't work out for them and to be patient and go about my life, that remaining entangled with her was a sure path to destruction. He was right, free from the evil husband, she has packed on at least 30 pounds in two years thanks to the alcohol. She can't maintain any semblance of a healthy relationship, instead using relationships to generate drama, and thereby, sympathy. I could chalk it up to her craziness, but her friends all seem to be the same way - either cheating on their husbands or slutting it up as alcoholic divorcées.

While we were separated, my ex was working as a lifeguard at a swanky country club pool. I dropped by to pick up my son, who had gone to work with her to get a swim. While I am there, she looks over her sunglasses at some kid who was no more than 15, getting ready to dive in and she says, "I'd like to bite off a piece of that." Maybe she was just doing it to bother me, but it was the creepiest goddamned thing I have ever witnessed within my own family - pure animal lust for a child. It was more disturbing than catching her sucking on her 14 yo cousin's tits. Not as creepy as my 15yo daughter relating that her mom got "blitzed" and attempted to french kiss with her.

But this is GA and I have a penis. I am therefore unfit. I can become fit by handing over about 50k to a lawyer who has an office on the same square where the case will be heard.

Personally I don't see a rise in molestations, murders, shootings, child snatchings, and a lot of other things being reported, it seems that the media is fighting for it's life by not only reporting, but preaching the news.

The rest of your post is too creepy for words.

I'd guess you called it yourself WRT your ex (at least that's the place I'd start looking).

Hoping that lady is committed/getting some kind of help.

LOL, fat chance. This is GA and her family has enough money to pay to play. My lawyer told me to forget about it for now, to wait until something big happened, which is terrifying, but that's the world in a red state. They even paid for "counseling" with this right wing bible beater lady friend of their family - counseling that apparently taught the children nothing except not to talk about what Mommy does because if Daddy finds out then you will all be sent to foster homes forever and ever.

GA is about money for the lawyers on the Square. The judges in the Superior Court are just driving revenue for the whole little legal fraternity in the County. Show up to Cobb Superior Court with a lawyer not on the Marietta Square and you will get "Home Cooked", as they like to so eloquently put it. It's as dirty as anything I've ever seen in this world.
